This part of the Lake District National Park is home to popular visitor attractions including the market town of Keswick, a bustling haven to the visitor, Bassenthwaite, a 4-mile long lake with the mighty Skiddaw Massif as its backdrop, or to the north Carlisle, with pedestrianised shopping, Tullie House for rainy days and the castle for a trip back in time.
