Wonderful stay

A very clean and comfortabel cottage in a beautiful part of Devon. Helen was a wonderful host who gave us much info on interestening places to visit. We enjoyed the cosy admosphere of the upstairs room and a well equiped kitchen. Highly recommanded

Lovely Stone Cottage

Lovely family friendly stone cottage with all necessary facilities. Situated in easy reach of lots of wonderful places to visit. Met the hosts shortly after our arrival and they are both welcoming, friendly and helpful. The local farm shop down the road was frequented quite a lot for goodies too.

A great find and lovely stay.

We found the accommodation fantastic, very clean, up to date and suitable for our needs. Lovely new kitchen and all round presentation. A small issue was dealt with quickly with great comms from the owners who are friendly and personable. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

A quiet getaway

We had a very tranquil time at the cottage. It was clean and well provisoned. An added bonus was that it was only a four minute drive from Buckfast Abbey. We stayed there for a quiet holiday but the location also provides access to oter locations such as Paignton and Torquay. We met the owner of the property and he was very friendly. We are very likely to return in the future.

Very comfortable, clean, stylish, spacious house. Warm too. Just what we were looking for. Check in difficult because HomeAway didn’t send us the details, and the App didn’t work. But owner responded to us very very quickly.

Perfect base

We will be back! The listing was as described (washing machine was on when we booked but has since been removed - it isn’t something I look forward on holiday so is a moot point! Location is ideal Local amenities are just what we need. The touches that the owner adds are a welcome addition - the welcome pack means we could have a cuppa with a biscuit while we unpacked without having to go out again! All the facilities in the cottage are of a really high quality! The owners are really helpful & the bed is SO comfortable! This is a gem of a find!!

Thank you for your kind review. We do ask all our guests to let us know if there is something they need when they are here as we would gladly have let you use our laundry room. We plan to upgrade the kitchen and install a washer/dryer before opening for 2022 season.

Erwartungen wurden übertroffen

Wir, als Familie, hatten uns in der Unterkunft von der ersten Minute an wohl gefühlt. Von dem Gastgeber, der in der Nähe wohnt, wurden wir herzlich begrüßt und hatten wertvolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Anderes erhalten. Die Wohnung geht über zwei Stockwerke und alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Im EG befinden sich zwei Schlafzimmer und ein Bad, renoviert. Im OG ist der Wohn-, Ess- und Küchenbereich offengehalten. Die Küche ist neu und sehr komfortabel ausgestattet. Es war sogar eine Waschmaschine vorhanden. Durch die hohen Decken und das sichtbare Mauerwerk ist es supergemütlich und man kann sich dort gut aufhalten. Falls man eine Heizung benötigt, lässt sich diese leicht einschalten. Es wird sofort warm. Wegen der Lage muss ich nur einen kleinen Punkt abziehen, da die Autobahn in der Nähe ist und man dies im Außenbereich hörte. Im Haus war jedoch nichts zu bemerken. Wenn wir nochmals nach Devon kommen, dann würden wir wieder hier übernachten. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hat gestimmt. Herzlichen Dank.

Spot On

Lovely cottage in a great location for heading out all over Devon. Plenty of space, private parking. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Owners welcomed us and were available if needed but they weren't. Warm, cosy and had everything we needed. Would recommend. 6 miles ish to Totnes 12 miles ish to Torbay area.

Perfect for Devon Exploration

MCC is well equipped, clean & comfortable. Mark was on hand & made us feel welcome. The cottage is easy to heat & there was plenty of hot water. The court yard is perfect for out door lunches/dinners. The property along with the other 2 cottages in the courtyard would be perfect for large family gatherings. The only addition that would be welcome would be a washing machine. The cottage handbook was informative, providing information on local amenities & attractions. Also the walk suggestions from the property were a good way to see the immediate area. Would recommend the next door neighbour’s eggs which are on sale from an honesty stall just up the road. Would certainly return here if back in the area.

Milk churn cottage

Milk churn cottage was very clean and well equipped. We had a comfortable stay and we were very happy with the property overall. The location was beautiful with easy access to local tourist attractions and coastal areas. Mark and Helen were very welcoming and helpful. We would definately visit again and would not hesitate to recommend this property for a holiday in a beautiful part of Devon.

Relaxed stay

Lovely upside down property in the middle of the countryside, perfect for walks and seeing nature. Welcome gifts were a lovely touch, as well as the useful walking guides, which we used a few times.

Lovely property in perfect location

The property was a good size and was able to work for us with a 9 month old baby. The property was very clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were welcoming without being intrusive and although there was nothing we needed from them I have no doubt they would have assisted if we had any queries or anything additional for the property. The location is just off a main road but we did not notice the noise if the road. Being a short drive from the coast and Dartmoor, we were able to make the most of both, especially with the good weather we had. We would like to return to the area as feel we didn't do/see everything we wanted to. We would definitely stay at the property again.

Great Location for a Getaway

Fantastic location away from the mayhem, perfect for relaxation and surrounded by beautiful countryside, great for outdoor activities. The barn was well equipped, warm and comfortable. The owners thoughtfully left some essentials of milk, bread, tea, etc ready for us upon arrival. We stayed for a whole week so would have been good to have a washing machine (listed as having one in the ad), this would be my only gripe and would love to return!
