We had a fantastic holiday in Ortisei. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. We cooked in the apartment several evenings and the kitchen was well equipped and comfortable. A real bonus is the fresh bread that is delivered in time for breakfast. We have stayed here before and we hope to come back next year.

We had a wonderful stay at Lukas and Donatella’s chalet. The chalet was roomy, clean and comfortable for the four of us skiers. A great location… Seceda lift a short walk away. Town is a 10 minute walk using the Seceda walkway and escalators. Local bus stop right in front of the chalet for when carrying skis or baggage. Our hosts were very friendly, and we would love to stay again in the future. .

We were a group of two couples staying here to ski the Dolomites. It was perfect. Donatella was an excellent communicator before we even checked in. The check in process was smooth and she explained everything about the bus system and how to get to the ski lifts smoothly. The bus comes right past the house so you don't have to walk to the lifts at all. The place was very clean, plenty of storage for our ski gear. A car is not necessary at all to stay at this location. She also had great recommendations for places to eat in the area. I highly recommend this accommodation!

Our stay was excellent. The owner/host went out of their way to assure that our stay was the best. We selected this area for hiking, and with Lukas being a guide in the area, he pointed is to several incredible hiking trails. The photo of the village is from our deck, and the other two were taken while hiking the trails that were recommended. If you love to hike, this is a great place with excellent host that love to point you in the right direction.

Great Vacation

We had a great stay in Ortisei. Lukas and Donatella were very nice and helpful hosts. They answered all of my questions while I was there. The chalet is very peaceful and has a nice view of the town. I will definitely come back and try to stay at this chalet again.

It is a proper sized apartment in the same building as the kind friendly owners. Ski bus stops next door, but also doable to walk to the center or the ski lift. Ortisei is a great village!

Wonderful cabin for skiing in the regions

Our family of 4 had a great time at this property when we went skiing on the Sella Ronda. The house was very clean with modern bathrooms and an amazing view over Ortisei. The owners were very nice and made it easy to check in when we arrived late at night. We highly recommend it.

Summer in the Dolomites.

We had a great time in Ortisei! When they say the chalet has a panoramic view they are not kidding. It has a great porch to sit on and enjoy the scenery and the weather. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Lukas was really nice and attentive. He and Donatella live in the apartment above so, are right there if you need anything. The only drawback would be the uphill walk to get back from town. You have to make some sacrifice for the great view!

Great Location. Lovely Hosts.

Easy access for all the cable cars and funicular made this a great spot for varied walks. Lukas and Donatella couldn’t have been more helpful. We loved the spring flowers and mountain scenery, and then chilling out on the balcony in the late afternoon. Fresh bread for breakfast each day and apartment well equipped and spacious. Highly recommended!

Wonderful!

We had a terrific stay. The hosts were friendly and accessible, offering excellent suggestions for restaurants and transportation. We especially enjoyed the tour of the wood shop. The balcony provided spectacular views, and the accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The mountainside location requires an uphill climb, if you miss the local bus. Would definitely rebook, if we are in the area.

Great!

The house and garden are very nice, even better than the pictures; but especially the balcony and views are great, so is the area. Perfect for hiking and mountainbiking. The town of Ortisei is lovely and within short walking distance. Donatella and Lukas are very friendly and welcoming hosts and they are happy to help.

Lovely apartment with stunning views

We loved staying at this property for four nights. Donatella and Luca were terrific hosts who made us feel welcome and were great to communicate with. Nothing was too much for them, they organised transport for us and ordered bread in the mornings. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. It had lovely views over the mountains and the bus stop was right in front of the house. It was also walking distance into town if you don’t mind walking up and down the hills. We would definitely stay here again

Beautiful apartment and beautiful people

The apartment was fantastic. Very clean and spacious. Well stocked with the essentials. Stunning views of the mountains from the balcony. We could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. The owners, Donatella and Lukas were so helpful with information and advice and so lovely to deal with. I would highly recommend this aparment to anyone I know. Donatella and Lukas were fantastic hosts (!) -- very friendly, communicative, helpful, responsive, provided many great recommendations, and a joy to meet! The chalet was very nice, clean and comfortable, and the view (including from the outside deck) of the town below, and the mountain on the other side of the town is unbelievably beautiful. The chalet is at some elevation above the town, so walking to/from the town can be a bit of a downhill/uphill challenge; that said, my wife and I, both in our mid-60's and in good shape, walked it back and forth daily. Otherwise, it's a very short drive or bus ride back and forth, and the bus stop is an extremely short walk from the chalet. There are at least three different cable-gondola or funicular rides that are close by, going to the top of mountains, with many walking/hiking trails with world-class views. The town is very charming, and has a large pedestrian zone with many great restaurants, bars, grocery store, etc., etc. We hope to return to stay again at Donatella and Lukas' chalet - it was the perfect place for our first visit to Ortisei and the Dolomites!

Wonderful family stay in Ortisei

Our family of five (parents, 3 kids 11-18) stayed at this incredible home for a week in July and would go back tomorrow if we could! Donatella and Lukas were wonderful hosts - warm and welcoming, very accessible and responsive, and informative about the area. We were planning on hiking in the area, and the weather was iffy, so having Lukas’ input on best days to hike (he’s a mountain guide) was great. We were able to order fresh bread delivered in the morning through Donatella, which was an extra (delicious) perk. The view from the house down into Ortisei is beyond gorgeous, and while we walked down (and back up) the steep route into town every day, there’s a bus stop literally just beyond the driveway if you prefer that. It was only a 10 min walk (or a little less) into town. The kitchen was well stocked - we made breakfast every morning, and dinner one night. The Despar in town was compact and had everything we needed, plus some fun new food finds. My favorite part of the house was the porch with panoramic views into Ortisei, with Sassolungo looking close enough to touch. We had one rainy day where we enjoyed just sitting on the porch drinking wine, reading, and enjoying the view. I can’t recommend this home enough!

Large space with great view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at Lukas and Donatella’s place! The apartment is very spacious with plenty of storage space for all of our stuff. The views from the wrap-around balcony are spectacular! Unless we were out hiking or in town we were always on the balcony. The walk from the town is rather steep - we didn’t mind but it was much easier once we found some escalators from town up to the Seceda lift station, making the walk only 10 minutes uphill to the VRBO. There is also a small bus you can take instead. Lukas and Donatella were very friendly and communicative hosts. They also provided us fresh bread every morning. The only slightly negative thing we can say is that the Wi-Fi is a bit spotty depending on where you are at in the house. Regardless, if you are staying in Ortisei we highly recommend this place!

Sehr schöne, geräumige Wohnung, auch teilbar, deshalb mit 2 Küchen und ohne „echtes“ Wohnzimmer. Dafür entschädigt aber die große Wohnküche. Toller Ausblick vom Balkon. Das Ortszentrum ist per Bus oder zu Fuß erreichbar, aber wegen des Höhenunterschieds etwas beschwerlich. Die sehr freundlichen Vermieter wohnen im Haus.
