The beach bar and restaurant closed?, i think its a knock on from Covid, they were open before but they infomed us that this year they will not open, shame as it was a nice place. Hopfuly this will change in 2023. hope you had a good holiday and hope to see you again in the future.

Hello Lisa, yes it was a very hot week and i am sure the pool was a popular place to be. You were also great guest we had a samll issue that we solved very fast. Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we appreciate and respect the comments of all clients, which will help us to improve. You should know that this is why the rates are so low when are travelling in such periods of the year as you take a risk with the weather and unfortunately it has been a cold and wet spring. We find some of your points a little contradictory however for example on the one hand you complain about the outdoor pool not being operational to swim, when the water is freezing at the moment, and at the same time you complain that there is no heating in the living room, in a summer house. We do provide duvet covers on the beds, extra fleece blankets for sitting outside on chillier evenings, a portable electric heater and have air conditioning inverters in all bedrooms for heating. Also when someone is arriving so early in the year there are often problems with equipment even in luxury hotels. The pool was available for the majority of your stay with a brand new pump installed on day 3. We only just took ownership of the villa and honestly didn’t expect to have such issues. The solar water system was also working, although granted not very efficiently when it’s not receiving full sunshine and we sent technicians to fix the issue with the electric water heater the next day. They had to go on the roof of the house to reset the thermostat in the solar system because the switch was left on too long and it had overheated. Something which is was out of our control but we repaired the next day. We just had the entire villa redecorated, replaced the old wooden balcony and installed super-fast internet (because there was no WiFI and we felt this was important for guests) and when we come ourselves in June we will see what else needs to be refurbished.

Thank you for your feedback. Firstly, in the detailed instructions we send to guests prior to arrival you are asked to contact the property managers directly. We give guests 2 contact telephone numbers and the code for the key safe so that in the event where a personal welcome is not possible guests can let themselves in and then we meet later or the following day. You were expected around 1500 as you had written but we like to be in contact because in our experience, guests often stop for shopping on the way and traffic can also cause a delay. We did try to contact you, but if you recall your telephone wasn’t working initially on arrival in Greece. Had you read the instructions thoroughly you would not have needed to disturb the neighbours. With regards to your very detailed inspection of the villa, please note that we do not advertise the villa as being new. We’ve always had positive comments from guests about how well equipped it is. Everything is fit for purpose but with some normal wear and tear. We do repair/replace as necessary. The bathroom cabinet has now been fixed - the waste pipe to the sink had broken prior to your arrival and water had entered the cupboard below so it had to dry out before it could be repaired. It’s a shame that this small detail caused you such annoyance. As for the cleanliness, we offered to send you a cleaner but you refused to allow us entry into the property for the entire 3-week stay, which we respected. We are sorry however that you found some food debris in the grill. We specifically ask that guests wipe up spills in the oven and microwave because there is very limited time during changeovers for deep cleaning tasks such as oven cleaning. The location of the villa is on a small development surrounded by olive groves, we make this quite clear. It’s a peaceful, idyllic setting with access by a sandy road, which is hardly “very remote” as its only 950m off the central (asphalt) road. We are also sorry to hear that you spent 4 hours (?!) driving to Sithonia because there are plenty of excellent sandy beaches in the area and if you had asked us we would have been happy to advise you. For example, there is one beach within 15km of the villa which is not only considered the best in Kassandra but also in the whole area of Halkidiki! Lastly, the reason why you were given the option to leave was because we clearly couldn’t satisfy your expectations. Your wife was extremely loud and rude towards the owner and the neighbour who came to find out what the commotion was about, which is truly unacceptable behaviour as a guest in somebody's holiday home. We feel really sorry that you came to a beautiful area to spend your holidays and from the first moment you were looking to find negative things instead of being relaxed and wanting to enjoy when 4 groups of guests before you this year had found everything wonderful.

^Hallo Stefan, danke für dien review, der Strasse liegt in der Verantwortung der Stadt, sie müssen es Instandsetzen . wir machen es auch ob wohl wir das nicht machen durfen. Es hat viel geregnet und da durch war es etwas holperig. normaler weisse ist es gut befahrbar Tut uns leid das der Reiningung nicht 100% war. Ich würde mich bein ihnen melden um zu Fargen was nicht im Ordnung war. Zeit Corona ist es Schwierig gute personal zu finden wir suchen immer noch nach gute Fach Kraft. Hello Jürgen Ich kann dich verstehen aber die Hunde sind nicht immer dort . Wir sind seit 2 Woche hier und bis jetzt kein Hund gehört. Es kommt drauf an Betriff die Nachbarn die sind nur 4 bis 6 Wochen im Jahr dort komme aus Deutschland und bestehen auf der Ruhezeiten, das müssen wir respektieren Danke für die tolle Bewertung und ich würde mich freuen nochmals als Gast begerussen zudurfen Gruß Michael & Edith

Dear Nadine, thanks for your report, ref the poor Wi-Fi and internet, well you know Greece and we have been waiting three years for our Wi-Fi connection and are still waiting, this is also mentioned in the web site.. So far in 9 years nobody has complained about the 1 step from the kitchen to the living room as a problem for a small child and we even purchased extra for you a child gate so that the children could not go up the stairs. Ref the road well like in almost all of Greece if you live in the nature and the middle of an olive grove yes we don't have the inferrstructure that a large town has so the roads are a gravel roads and if the road needs repair due to very heavy rain ( which did not happen) the town repair this the same day as many live in this area this is, Ref the shopping, as we have mentioned in the web site there are many shops in the next village around 3 to 5 minutes drive and also we suggest in the route plan where you can best shop to save money. Like in many other countries there is a quite period that you must respect so if you are loud after 22.00 then you will receive complains as you did, this is law. But all in all I am very glad that you had a great holiday and our property manager Mike looked after all of your complaints within 24 hours, strange was that the last guest did not have one complain and left the same day that you took over.
