Summary:
The Alves da Veiga Rooftop is located in downtown Porto, just 2min away from Mercado do Bolhão. It’s a 200sqm loft with 2 bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), 2 bathrooms (both downstairs), a spacious terrace and 2 balconies. It's full of light and space for up to 4 people.
You can park your car in our private parking space and take the elevator to the rooftop. The spacious terrace is ideal to relax after a long day and enjoy a bottle of wine while overlooking the Downtown skyline!
The Space:
Central location. 2min from Rua Santa Catarina (for shopping) and Mercado do Bolhão (for fresh fish and groceries) . 2min from the Bolhão subway station with connection to the airport through the Trindade subway station. Spacious. Plenty of light.
Ideal for 4 people. The upstairs bedroom can either be a 2 single or a twin bedroom, you choose. Please bear in mind that the upstairs bedroom does not have a bathroom, as it is located downstairs.
You have a parking space, elevator, AC, bluetooth speaker for music, a safe for your personal belongings, a washer / dryer and a fully equipped kitchen.
If you came for work there is a work desk, a printer and a super fast internet (500 download /100 upload via wifi)! We also have HBO, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
The Alves the Veiga Rooftop is ideal for families or couples, long stays or short visits to Porto. Enjoy the sunsets on the terrace with a nice bottle of wine!
The Neighborhood:
The Alves da Veiga Rooftop is located in downtown Porto, right in the city center, only 2min walking from the Rua Santa Catarina (perfect for shopping) and the famous Mercado do Bolhão.
Around the apartment literally within a 200meter radius you will find bakeries, groceries, supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, gyms, and the Bolhao Metro station.
If you want to grab a craft beer before heading home go to BOP Cafe and just next door, for a great typical portuguese meal, go to “Buraco” restaurant (5min walking from the apartment) or to SantiagoF for a Francesinha!

Getting Around:
If you plan to arrive by car, you will have a private parking space at the building. Just take the elevator to the 4th Floor and you will be home!
You are 2min walking distance from the Bolhão Metro Station (1 station away from Trindade station with direct connection to the airport) and from the main bus lines which can take you to the seaside.
From the apartment you are 15min walking to the river and Ponte D. Luis. Livraria Lello is 15min walking. Very close by there is a shop where you can rent bikes and bicycles.
From the airport, you can either take the metro or taxi/uber . If you take taxi/uber you will be at the apartment in 20min.
From Campanha Train Station, take Uber (5min) or the metro to Bolhão Station (3 stops and then 2 min walking to the apartment). From S. Bento station you can walk (15min) or take an uber (5min).
Within the city you don't need a car, just walk and lose yourself in the streets, that's what we do! If you do have a car you can use our private parking space located in the building.
Other Things to Note:
For your pleasure and comfort we offer you HBO, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, for those moments when you are tired from a long walk and just want to cosy up in the sofa and watch your favourite series!
Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations.
Please note:
> The apartment is on the 4th floor, with elevator.
> One of the rooms is on the 1st floor and the other one is on the 2nd floor. Both bathrooms are on the 1st floor.
> The apartment does not have a reception. Guests are kindly requested to inform their estimated time of arrival in advance.
> Early / Late check-ins / outs may be possible, depending on availability. Nevertheless they must be organized with at least 48hours notice.
> All our guests are required by law to provide their ID/Passport to and we are obliged to communicate this information to Immigration and Borders Service (SEF).
Interaction with Guests:
We (Nuno & Anita) live just next door, in the Alves da Veiga twin rooftop! We will personally check you in, but we also have a self check-in system in case it's necessary.
We'll provide you plenty of recommendations of our favourite places to go and you can always drop by if you have further questions or need additional advice :)
