Great fall break getaway

A perfect property to escape to for Fall Break. We had three families (6 adults+ 6 kids under the age of 7), and it was a great setup. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, the friendly horses, and exploring the property amidst the fall foliage. We also grilled a great meal on the cowboy grill, which was a fun and different experience. Property manager was very responsive, and they even left a couple bottles of wine which was a welcoming touch. The owner/property manager has clearly taken steps to fix any mechanical issues that were noted in previous reviews as the replacement oven worked great, and the hot tub/sauna were operational as well. Overall great experience; we would highly recommend for a countryside getaway!

Made the best of the worst

Couldn’t have been more excited to celebrate my bachelorette party at this gorgeous accommodating home. I will warn you when clicking on the address directly from the VRBO listing, it does not take you to the correct residence. Half of our vehicles ended up about 15 minutes away. We tried via Google and Apple Maps. Upon arriving, we were upset we relied on the wine fridge pictured in the listing as it was locked with others food. This would have been clutch considering the actual refrigerator and freezer were going out prior to our stay. Food/beverages for 15 girls went spoiled by the end of the weekend and a countless number of trips to get ice. We didn’t get much luckier when it came to the double dutch oven. The top one did not work at all and the bottom took two hours to heat properly. The major issue we found was the dangerous railing on the top story deck that was leaning. We found this issue after my blind mother reached over to speak to someone on the lower level. Upon mentioning this to the property manager their response from the owner stated, “that’s why I have insurance.” The decking was connected by three vertical posts with zip ties, so you could tell the liability issue at hand has not been a priority. Unacceptable! Now to the best part... as the host of the party, I woke up after a storm to their dumpster had smashed into my vehicle damaging what will cost me a significant amount out of pocket. After the fact, we saw all of the logs that were neglected from holding the dumpster in place. Cherry on top... we had no hot water our entire stay and on the third night the first floor smelled of sewer. I feel we received the short end of the straw with this listing as I see all the 5 star reviews. Upon reading the last review, they mentioned a few items weren’t working and the owner promised them to be fixed. The owner clearly does not care for the well-being of the home and is only here to rake in cash. Clearly noted by the property managers. On a positive note, the house can EASILY accommodate at least 16 people. The hot tub is well maintained. There are plenty of camping chairs, towels, cooking/grilling accessories, blender, knives, and a long table available for use. I wish I could provide a 5 star review as asked by the owner, but this was a compete horror story!

The staycation we always dreamed of...

This property aka lodge goals truly took us to relaxation heaven. It was spacious, comfortable, private and beautiful for the 15 of us. The beds were all very comfortable and warm. The couches were so cozy right across an indoor fireplace. We spent a lot of time at the hot tub enjoying music thanks to the centralized music system lodge and also making s'mores at the outdoor firepit. We wish the sauna would have worked as we were excited to use it but we really had plenty of amenities to enjoy so we didn't miss it a lot. One last thing, the showers are a whole spa experience! Thank you so much to the owners for sharing your beautiful lodge with us! Cant wait till next time!

Good stay overall

We needed a last minute option for our wedding due to COVID postponing our large one. This was perfect! The owner was easy to contact and allowed us a late checkout which was so nice with the cleanup we had to do after! There were a few items that were not working but the owner acknowledged it and I trust it’ll be fixed for the next stay. We loved the area and I how quiet it was. Our family wants to do a weekend getaway here in the winter for the holidays!

Bachelor Party Weekend

Thanks to Jason and Kathy for hosting us. The property, amenities, and everything else was perfect for our group of 12 guys. The lot is isolated so we weren’t too worried about bothering neighbors, the yard gave us plenty of room for yard games, and the air conditioning kept us nice and cool when we needed a break from the sun. Jason was very quick to address any questions and everything went smoothly!

Remote Luxury Glamping

Fantastic space that we really enjoyed. We only had a couple of days, but I could've stayed for a few weeks. Nice view of the stars. The hot tub on the deck was pretty much a central activity for us most of the time and having horses just on the other side of a fence added to the magic of the place.

This cabin was a great spot for our retreat! It wasn't too far away but still felt like we were out in the woods away from everyday life. The area was beautiful and the cabin was great! We loved it and made it work but without the couch and the 4 air mattresses we brought, there are only 12 comfortbale sleeping spots with the beds.

Wonderful place for rehearsal dinner
