Dieses gemütliche, gepflegte 3-Zimmer-Studio-Apartment befindet sich 300 Fuß vom Governor's Mansion entfernt und ist ruhig, privat und bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, einschließlich eines Parkplatzes abseits der Straße. Ein Auto ist jedoch nicht erforderlich, da fast alles in der Innenstadt von Juneau in 5 bis 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Innerhalb weniger Minuten und in verschiedenen Richtungen erreichen Sie zu Fuß das Governor's Mansion, das Capitol und das State Office Building, zwei Museen (Juneau und Alaska State), einen großen Supermarkt, beliebte Restaurants, den Cope Park mit Zugang zur Basin Road und den Mt. Juneau, Mt. Wanderwege von Roberts und Perseverance.

Das Gebäude ist ein Vier-Plex-Gebäude und Teil der Governor's Mansion Historic Neighborhood Association.

Die Küche in voller Größe ist voll ausgestattet mit Geschirr und Glas, Töpfen und Pfannen, Toaster, Mixer, Kaffeemühle, Kaffeemaschine (konventionell und Tropf), Mikrowelle, elektrischem Wasserkocher, konventionellem Ofen und großem Kühlschrank. Der gut eingerichtete Wohn- / Schlafraum verfügt über ein bequemes Sofa, das sich zu einem Doppelbett öffnet. Ein großes, horizontales Schrankbett. Ein ausklappbarer Tisch (für 4-5 Personen) und ein 36 "-Flachbildfernseher mit Kabelanschluss. Eine gestapelte Waschmaschine / Trockner ist in einem Schrankraum eingeschlossen. Ein größerer Schrank in der Küche bietet Platz für Schuhe, Stiefel und Mäntel.
Das Badezimmer verfügt über reichlich geschlossene Regale für Badetücher und Bettwäsche, in denen persönliche Kleidung aufbewahrt werden kann. Eine volle Dusche / Bad und WC. Sie können Kissen, frische Handtücher, Bettwäsche und Bettwäsche erwarten. Eine aufblasbare Twin-Size-Serta-Matratze ist auf Anfrage erhältlich. Kinderspielzeug, Puzzles, Kinderspielzeug, 2 Kindersitze.

Amazing stay and experience

We booked Sandie and Peter’s place for my son for his internship as we’re from Anchorage. The location was perfect and had all the amenities that he needed for his stay. He was there for almost 5 months. The neighborhood is beautiful and was so easy to walk to the Capitol/downtown area. They communicated well with us and made us feel at ease that he was able to stay in a comfortable and safe place. Thank you again!

Perfect base camp

My daughter and I stayed at Metcalf Mannor for several days last week. We found it the perfect base camp for our in-town explorations. The place had recently been refurnished and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the extra touches like the "welcoming" treats in the fridge. Sandy, our host, was very accomodating. She was also right there should we have needed anything at all. A very pleasant stay, centrally located and reasonably priced. I would recommend Metcalf Manner to any small parties wanting to explore Juneau and surrounds.

Pleasant,quiet and clean. Our only comment is that the Murphy bed should be oriented vertically. It is very difficult for the senior on the inside to conveniently get up in the night. But we managed! Parking regulations were not enforced?

Perfect spot in Juneau

We had a wonderful 3 nights at this perfect studio. It's comfortable and well-furnished, and a great "home base" for exploring this rugged and gorgeous town. Our 8-year-old daughter thought the fold-out couch was the best bed ever. Sandy and Peter are great hosts. Hope to return sometime soon, and would stay here again.

Great location in a quite area

The location was within walking distance from downtown as well as the trail head of Mt. Roberts. The space was clean and it was well stocked with kitchen utensils/supplies. The space fits three people comfortably. Check in was easy and there was even a parking space.

Perfect

Stayed here for the folk fest, and it was perfect. Easy walk to all downtown and the warf area. Place was clean and convienient and had all you need for a pleasant stay. It may not work for you if you need fancy or chic, but was great for a retired couple that has roughed it in much worse conditions. This place was FAR from roughing it.

Great place to stay!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Metcalf Manor!! As soon as we walked in the door we felt like we were home. Very comfy, clean and well stocked in every room with whatever you might need. Sandy is so sweet and accommodating!! We travel a lot and have never walked into a place and felt like it is where we belonged for the moment! Will definitely recommend and stay again!

Your hosts, Sandy and Peter Metcalfe, are well-connected residents of long standing. Peter is a fourth generation Alaskan and Sandy, originally from Cleveland has lived here since 1974 and raised 3 sons. Peter and Sandy were married in 1992 and soon after moved into the four-plex they occupy today. They are happy to share insights to the places to see and things to do and advise on outdoor logistics and opportunities.

The downtown area was the only place we wanted to live. Downtown Juneau has charming, friendly neighborhoods and is a hub connecting us to family, outside enjoyment, restaurants, government connections, breathtaking vistas, and marinas - all accessible by foot.

Beautiful vistas any direction you look.Easy access to world-class hiking many (I mean many) trails in the Basin, Cope Park, Mt Robert's (we like to hike up and take the Tram down), Mt Juneau, the docks and harbors. Our beautiful neighborhood is in an historic district that includes the Governor's Mansion. We are within short walks of the Juneau and Alaska museums, and the Juneau and State libraries, providing easy access to sources of Alaskan culture and history. Both Sandy and Peter are professional photographers, and Peter is a writer and publisher well known for his in-depth knowledge of Alaska history, Alaska Native culture, and the environment.
Our studio apartment ideally suits the traveler that comes to Juneau to explore.
