Zur Ausstattung gehören Voll ausgestattete Küche mit Mikrowelle, Backofen und Herd, Kühlschrank, Töpfe, Pfannen, Teller, Geschirr, Geschirrspüler, Gläser, Kaffeemaschine, etc., kostenlose Ortsgespräche, kostenloses WIFI Internet, kostenloses Digitalkabel, 2 Fernseher, Waschmaschine / Trockner (Münzwäscherei), Terrasse mit Grill und reservierter Parkplatz im Tandem für 2 Fahrzeuge. Family Vacay

We celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday! It was perfectly located amongst our other family members who were also vacationing at Mission. Lots to do and plenty of restaurants, shopping spots, grocery store, coffee shops, and bars to enjoy. We rented bikes and enjoyed time on the patio and beach!

The beach is steps away

Great location on Mission Beach with the beach mere steps away. Four small but neat and clean bedrooms allowed for plenty of sleeping space for everyone. Parking was real tight for my full size pickup.

The property is older and the screen for the main cottage does not close tight so you get flies. Also the key to unlock the King Room is wonky and it does not like to come back out of lock. There is no outlet in the bathroom in the King room and the kitchen gets quite toasty if you turn on the oven at all even with the windows open and vent on. There was not a table or place where all 8 of us could eat at one time which was dissappointing. I loved the location plus the shower on the porch next house over that we could use. We could fit two vechicles in the parking place so that was very nice. I had to fill out additional infomationm besides what I did on Vrbo and submit it which seemed redundunt. Also I did not receive my code to unlock doors till I called they sent it to the app when we had only had comunicated through email.

The property is a cozy 3 bedroom 1 bath cottage with an attached but separate bedroom and bath. The parking space is only about 2 reet wider than my F 150 so the truck had to be pulled out for loading and unloading..

Okay house but location was great

The location was great. The house itself was just okay. It definitely needs some updates. The screens on both doors were horrible, the lock on the back outside room need to be replaced. It took us a long time (in the rain) to lock the door. It was very clean. The day of I received a email that I would be getting instructions on how to get into the property at 3:50 I still hadn’t received anymore information so I called the property manager and she gave me the code and told me she would be sending me the check in email and I never received it. The pictures make the place look a lot bigger and nicer than it really is.

An overall great stay!

This location was awesome. Right off the beach (about a 30 yard walk) and within walking distance of some great places to eat. Nights were a little noisy but it was spring break so, yeah. We had some trouble with getting the heat to work at the beginning but the property managers were quick to help. This property has two parts to it. The one part has 3 bedrooms and then there is a second part with a separate entry (with its own key) with another bed, tv and bathroom. This was great for us since my sister and her family could stay in the larger part and my wife and I could have our own separate living space in the smaller part. The lock to the separate, smaller part was pretty rickety and required some jiggling of the key to lock or unlock. It really ought to be replaced with a better lock. This is a small property. Not a lot of wiggle room but it seems that’s the way of life near the beach. Parking is very cramped. They said we could have 2 cars but we only had one. I’m not sure where one would put another car to be honest. There was only one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom which, for a 4 day weekend was a pretty scant supply. Outlets are kind of scarce. Overall we loved our stay, though! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat! The beach was great!

I'm giving it 2 stars not because I was disappointed, I wasn't. I'm giving it 2 stars because that's the kind of property it is. It's like a 2 star hotel compared to a 5 star hotel. The description and pictures are spot on. Don't expect more. It needs updating, more air circulation and dressers with drawers that slide easily. Bigger bathrooms would be nice too. But if it was a 5 star beach house, it would cost more... so you get what you pay for. The proximity to the beach was great! The location was perfect (mid-north mission beach)... it was quiet and not crowded at all. It might be perfect for you, so don't dismiss it! It just depends on your preference (closer to the beach, smaller and no updates, or further away with a bigger, more updated beach house for the same price). One thing to be aware of is that the parking is suuuuuuper tight. If you drive a mini van or anything bigger, you'll have a tough time getting out of the car. I thought the parking was strange - like I was parking on a front porch. It was pretty warm inside. Air doesn't circulate very well because it's a small space, not very open, with other structures next to it, which blocks air flow. We brought extra fans with us and we were so glad we did! Also, the garbage bins for the units in that court are right up against your kitchen window. So when the window is open, it can be a little disruptive, not too bad though. At least they collect the garbage often enough that smells didn't get super bad, but there's definitely an odor. And we did notice a lot of flies in the house. I don't know whether or not it was related to the the trash being next to the window, but I'm sure it didn't help. Overall, location and proximity to the beach made the place totally do-able. So it all just depends on your preference. I felt like for us, it wasn't worth the price we paid. We did enjoy our stay and we love mission beach!

Thank you for your response. The cottage is 4 bedrooms and right next to the ocean. In fact, you did not mention the master suite which is very large with king size bed 2 red lounge chairs keeping with the theme, adequate mirrored closet space, private bathroom, small bar frig and coffee pot LARGE screen TV on the wall and best of all floor to ceiling OCEAN VIEW! It is cottage decorated red/white/blue. The owner has detailed it with nice bedding and linen. It has ceiling fans in all bedrooms. The trash/recycle bins are on the alley. There is no other place to keep them unfortunately and sometimes the adjacent units put their cans there. I move them and they move them back. It is warm in July so if you come any other time you do not have to deal with toasty weather and flies. As for updating, if you mean granite counters, the owner likes everything white. The bathrooms were retiled just a few years ago (white of course). The large stove is brand new and upgraded (you did not mention that) Glad you enjoyed your stay. If you want something larger, the 3 bedroom just next door is twice as big, OCEANFRONT, FAB VIEWS throughout and almost twice the price.

Don’t expect much

We had a horrible experience at this property. On paper, things look great. The close proximity to the beach is awesome. That’s about where it stops. Do not book this property if: 1) you value a working heater. It was 49 outside and 61 degrees Inside overnight (I had a baby monitor that kept the temperature) due to the broken thermostat. Don’t know how to light a pilot light on a heater? Never even heard of a pilot light? This is not the place for you because you will probably be asked to do it if the heater isn’t working. 2) do you plan on plugging in two items simultaneously? Sorry, fuses will be blown! And unless you have experience with breaker boxes from the 1950s, you’ll need to call the property manager to come over. 3) great news! The property Mgmt company has brought you space heaters as a consolation for no working heat. Oops, did you read #2? Fuses blown! That’s right, you freeze again! And best wishes trying to use other appliances until THE WORLD’S 1ST BREAKER BOX is switched again. 4) do not stay here if you value working smoke detectors in each bedroom. They were there, but, as we discovered, only 2 of the 5 actually worked. Remember those sketchy space heaters (one had a garage sale price on it)? Remember the dysfunctional electrical setup? Hmmm I hope everything goes well because if a fire starts you probably won’t have notice. To wrap up, we had a horrible experience because of the actual property. The management company was always responsive and put in a lot of effort to resolve things but was not successful at turning on the heat (it worked for about 5 hours midday on the first day then broke). I emailed the company to resolve this privately but they did not reply.

We have stayed at numerous places along Mission Beach over the years and this was probably our least favorite. It does have a good location but that’s about it. The screen on the front door needs replaced, beds weren’t very comfortable, the “master suite” isn’t even attached so you feel disconnected from any guests staying in there, parking is super tight and you’re walking around vehicles from the units around you to get anywhere, the photos make it seem like you have a big patio area, but it’s really just the parking spot where your vehicle will need to go. The laundry also costs $1.25 per load of wash and dry- never seen that before. It also seems to have a flying insect issue. The property manager also comes flying into that parking spot and could have easily hit one of our children. Not a terrible place, but definitely not one that we would stay at again.

Glad you enjoyed you stay. Since the cottage is just steps to the beach and west facing, salt will affect the lock. We try to keep it lubed to prevent difficulty. Regarding the washer/dryer. We are happy the owner provides this facility (coin operated) which is shared with building next door, otherwise guests would need to go to the public laundromat across the street. So close to the beach!

We loved the place it was right next to the beach for easy access for the kids to run and play! The little Casita looking out to the water was wonderful, our family really enjoyed the stay. Thank you

Steps from the water!!!

Sarrina was very timely with answering questions and/or taking care of our concerns. She definitely made our stay better than it already was. We would definitely rent again from her the next time we visit.

Feet from the beach, great value.

This was incredible experience for us. Peace of mind sending our 14 year old and her friends to the beach, while we hung back at the house. Comfortable beds, adequate space. Great spot along the boardwalk. We loved it so much, we never left! We had plans to go to La Jolla, and even up to Temecula, but no! We were so content right where we were. One item to note: Parking is limited, and tight (after all, it's San Diego). This beach house has a 2-car tandem parking space, but it truly is only one. Actually, if you had two small cars, it might work.

Mixed emotions. Location was awesome, well priced but needs lots of work. Great management company

Amazing location one house from the beach. Near lots of restaurants. Very well priced and flexible with length of stay. But house needs significant repairs. Many drawers did not open, bathroom door didn’t close all the way, needs new screens on windows and doors to keep flies out. Got super hot without a/c and needed more fans. Master bedroom has separate entrance from main cottage and shared laundry with another unit. That being said, the property management company was excellent; sarina and Luke were very responsive, timely and cordial. They were knowledgeable about the area, local events and restaurants. Came right away for any concerns. Would love to see the repairs done to this house because it has such potential.
