Very nice little property with a lovely pool. Enjoyed the tranquility and the sea views.

Great communication with the owner. Extremely well looked after villa , serviced during the week, which was very welcome. The location is great with proximity to beaches and villages. But a car is absolutely needed as all traffic including pedestrians have to use the main road . It was also great to have sitcom in the bedrooms. Extremely nice and would highly recommend.

Peaceful sea view villa

We had a great week in the villa and it was perfect location with a private pool which the kids really enjoyed. Quiet & private despite being with 9 other villas on the hillside you can’t see them so feels secluded. The air-con in the bedrooms was great & essential in the heat! Bathrooms basic but clean. We had day trips to many beautiful beaches and enjoyed visiting & eating out in Koroni- car required.

Property was just what we wanted, good sized and the veranda and pool was in the shade in the afternoon which is just what we wanted in 30C plus heat!There is a hotel at the bottom of the hill and you can hear their entertainment most days coming up the hillside so it's not the most peaceful of properties but it didn't bother us that much.

Schöne Anlage mit leider „großem Haken“

Sehr gepflegte Ferienanlage mit schönem Pool und Aussicht auf das Meer. Guter Service mit wöchentl. Reinigung und Wäschewechsel. Wohnung zweckmäßig eingerichtet, Küche und Bäder sauber, aber abgewohnt und modernisierungsbedürftig! Großer Haken: für uns unerträgliche Lärmbelästigung, ausgehend vom Hotel in der Nähe, in Form von Animationsprogrammen, Live-Konzerten und Entertainment, zeitweise von mittags bis spät in die Nacht hinein! Deshalb nicht empfehlenswert für Ruhesuchende!

Gemütliches Haus in ruhiger Lage

Haus in ruhiger Lage. Guter Service ( Pool und Wäsche,etc.). Von hier haben wir unsere Besichtigungen auf dem Peloponnes gestartet. Im kleinen Ort konnten wir unseren Kaffee gemütlich trinken und haben uns gut erholen können.

Kalamaki Villa für 2-4 Personen

Superlage mit Meerblick, überdachte Terrasse und Pool (5*10m bis 2,60m Tiefe) vor Einblicken geschützt. Ausstattung gut (Betten ok), Küchenausstattung zweckmäßig, Kühlschrank gut, Herd mit Backofen, Saftpresse... Warmwasser in beiden Bädern und in der Küche, daher ist eine fehlende SM nicht so wichtig. Klimageräte in beiden Schlafräumen (nachts manchmal angenehm), sehr nützlich Insektengitter vor den großen Schiebetüren zur Terrasse, Internet etwas wackelig aber ausreichend, Handy-Empfang brauchbar. Wäsche- und Müll- und Poolservice ok. 4 km zum Supermarkt+Bäcker. Man sollte ein Fahrzeug haben, Völlig ungestörter Urlaub, Viele Vögel machen gute Laune, Partygeräusche vom nahen Club schallen - je nach Windlage - mehrmals rüber, das war für uns (teils Live-Musik) nicht als störend empfunden. Hinweis auf Zufahrt über aktuelle Strassenbaustelle (störte fast gar nicht) wäre sinnvoll. Ideal für Individualurlaub mit Komfortanspruch! Wir würden das wieder mieten!

Gerne wieder!

Wir bedanken uns für einen sehr schönen Urlaub in der Villa Katharina! Ein atemberaubender Ausblick von der Terasse und dem sauberen und großen Pool auf den Golf von Messenien... Das Haus ist sauber und mit allem nötigen ausgestatt! Die Kommunikation mit Chris sowie Paula und George verlief problemlos! Für uns war es eine tolle Ausgangsstation für Ausflüge zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region. An heißen Tagen relaxten wir mit unseren Kindern einfach am Pool und nutzten diesen ausgiebig. Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub! Danke dafür!!!

Prestations à revoir

Une villa conforme à l’annonce, propre mais dans une région loin de tout. Zone très peu touristique. A environ 45mn de la première zone touristique. Concernant l’intérieur de la villa ; - le frigo est d’un autre âge. Il chauffe tellement à l’extérieur qu’il pourrait servir de chauffage d’appoint, alors que l’intérieur ne fonctionne quasiment plus. - pas de climatisation dans la pièce principale. Avec une température extérieur de plus de 40deg, il faisait plus de 30deg à l’intérieur. C’était juste insupportable. Après 1 semaine, la climatisation dans la chambre est tombée en panne. A part s’excuser le propriétaire n’a rien fait. Il nous a expliquer que le réparateur avait d’autres priorités. Quand on a 8 villa, la moindre des choses est de prévoir un contrat d’entretien pour ses climatiseurs. Surtout dans une région aussi chaude. Nous avons donc passé une très mauvaise 2ème semaine, avec plus de 30deg à l’intérieur(jour et nuit) et quasiment impossible de sortir en raison des fumées d’incendie et des retombés de cendres à l’extérieur de la villa. Villa à conseiller pour des personnes qui ne apprécient la solitude et en dehors des périodes de forte chaleur.

Although I respect the reviews of our guests I disagree with the comments about the villa as most of our recent guests as written in their reviews. I repeat here that as described very clearly in our advertisement only the two bedrooms are airconditioned. As regards the broken air conditioner it should be noted that during this period of an extreme heat wave there have been over 500 forest fires in Greece with consequent electricity ups and downs with many air conditioners broken. As a result of this it had been impossible to get quickly a technician to fix since all of them had been over booked during this period.

Superbe semaine

Nous venons de passer une magnifique semaine dans la villa Efterpe. Chris a été de très bon conseil et la villa était totalement conforme au descriptif et aux photos trouvés sur le site. Située sur le hauteurs de Petalidi, une voiture est nécessaire. mais le calme est assuré ! La maison a tout le confort requis et la piscine est grande et profonde. Nous recommandons cette location pour un séjour parfait !

Quiet situation on hill overlooking sea. A five minute drive to nearest villages. Well situated for visits to Koroni. Methoni and Pylos. Must have a car, though. Excellent swimming pool and kitchen facilities.

Notre villa ne nous a pas déçue. Les photos du site reflétaient ce que nous y avons vu.Son emplacement, en retrait de la ville, nous a assuré l'isolement que nous recherchions. La piscine, bien que non chauffée, était grandiose.Tous les ustensiles de cuisine étaient présents jusqu'au l'essuie-tout qui était fourni ainsi que les produits ménagers. Les personnes en charge de l'entretien de la piscine et de la villa ont été absolument parfaits par leur discrétion et leur travail. Nous y retournerons certainement.

Great little place in the Country.

Nicely maintained two bedroom home in the country. Very quiet, and beautiful view. Quiet, and a great place to relax. Nice having a pool. We walked to the nearby beach, and needed a car for town and other beaches in the area. We had music at night by the resident OWL.. very cool. Wifi is shared with the other cottages, but not a big deal.

Fantastic position and views.

Chris, the manager, was really helpful through the booking process to during the holiday. The villa, which is part of three on a very secluded hillside, was great. We had two decent bedrooms with an excellent air conditioning unit in each which was definitely needed! The villas are approached by a very steep, sometimes concrete, sometimes dirt track road bit that it was gives them the most spectacular views. A car is essential here but we walked into the neighbouring village to the tavernas several times (a very good workout!). They are equipped well as we ate in a few times and took advantage of the BBQ. The pool is the best we have ever had, 10x5 but also 2.15 m deep at one end. We had two large teenage boys who spent hours diving, swimming etc. Before booking, I found some of the photos confusing but don't be put off. They undersell the villas. Despite being the middle in a group of three, we were completely isolated and nobody overlooked us. There are also another set of three villas down a track with the same privacy. The area is definitely worth a visit with lots of history, fabulous beaches and swimming. If possible fly to Kalamata, a small but efficient airport, from which it only took us 30 minutes to get to the villa.

Such a great villa we had a blast

We are a family of four and spent a wonderful week in this beautiful part of Messinia. Villa EFTERPE at the Kalamaki villas offered to us all we needed for a relaxing family holiday. The location is excellent. Located on a high elevation offers fantastic views of the Messinean gulf and the mountains of Mani. The nearby beaches in the area are quiet and relaxing even in August. Villa EFTERPE is very well equipped, very clean and comfortable and is ideal for a family holiday. The private pool is very well maintained by George the pool attendant, you will recognize him by his awesome hat! The caretakers are lovely friendly people who are very keen to provide any help. We found a good local food restaurant called Hellas in Chrani, we highly recommend it. We had a great time and we will be going back again soon.

Type B Superior Villa, Kalamaki Villas,

A beautiful villa in a stunning location. This is the first holiday we have booked independently and Chris Christodolou made the experience stress-free, from our initial enquiry through to paying the final payment and receiving instructions. We flew into Athens Airport (new) by easyJet and arrived at the villa 31/2 hours later, after travelling most of the way on motorways. (Tolls totalled approximately 10 Euros). Kalamata airport is only a 30 minute drive from the villa but the flights from the UK were much more expensive during the peak period. The track up to the villa is just that - a very steep, bumpy dirt track, so a suitable (hire) vehicle would be advised, but the views and tranquility of the surroundings make it worth while. The gardens around the villa are rich with wildlife with small lizards regular visitors to the villa. The large veranda allows meals to be eaten al fresco whilst gazing across the azure sea to the Mani opposite while a handful of steps lead down to a sun terrace around the large swimming pool, which is furnished with sunloungers and parasols for when the sun gets just a bit too much!! Inside the villa is spacious and light and airy with the main living area being open plan. Both bedrooms have ample wardrobe and drawer space. Maid service is twice weekly and there is also a man who cleans the pool at the same time. It would be very difficult to walk to Chranoi or Petillidi due to the steep track and lack of footpath along the busy road, but each is only a few minutes drive and offer tavernas and bars. We favoured Chranoi. The tip here is to turn left off the main road as this is where the majority of the eateries hide. They are all very simple restaurants offering traditional Greek fare (accompanied with chips) and all with the warmth of genuine Greek hospitality. We especially liked Socrates, hidden down an alley-way. For pre- or post dinner drinks we would highly recommend Poseidon Cafe Bar - a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy a cocktail or two. There are two supermarkets in Chranoi which are open until late into the night while Petillidi offers a greater choice of food shopping. There are plenty of places to explore around this area - Koroni is beautiful by day and night with lots of tavernas along the seafront, reached by narrow streets. Methoni has lovely sandy beaches and a castle to explore (free entry), while Kalamata is a vibrant cosmopolitan city with plenty of beach front tavernas. Relax and enjoy!

We stayed at kalamaki villas,villa efterpe,from 29/8 to 5/9, 4 adults and 2 kids(2,5 years and 10 months old).The stay was great,the pool was big and maintained twice a week.The villa was clean at our arrival and they changed sheets and towels once a week. Overall the villa was big enough for us,everything was in good condition and as they were discribed,we cooked every day and also used the washing machine with no trouble,and we enjoyed those long afternoons at the big balcony with the sea view.Very quiet and isolated with no one disturbing our holidays.The nearest super market was in Cranoi (3,7 km) very well equiped.The only downside was the bad dirt road from the main road to the villa (1 km) ,but this will not keep us from coming back sometime.
