Standorte kommen nicht besser als diese. Die Aussicht auf die Westfront des York Minster ist atemberaubend und eine der schönsten der Stadt.

Dieses Apartment im ersten Stock befindet sich in der ruhigen Wohngegend von Purey Cust. Ein idealer Ort zum Entspannen und doch nur wenige Schritte von allen Attraktionen der Stadt entfernt.

Der offene Wohnbereich ist mit seinem großen Sofa und dem LCD-Fernseher mit Blu-Ray-DVD-Player und Virgin-Kabel-TV der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen. Das Sofa kann auch in ein Bett umgewandelt werden, um gelegentliche Gäste unterzubringen.

Der Essbereich bietet Platz für 6 Personen zum Abendessen und wird durch eine hochwertige Küche mit Granitarbeitsflächen, Gasherd und Kaffeemaschine ergänzt.

Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein luxuriöses Kingsize-Bett und ein eigenes Bad mit ebenerdiger Dusche. Es gibt auch einen Fernseher im Zimmer mit Virgin-Kabel-TV.

Das Zweibettzimmer hat auch die nette zusätzliche Eigenschaft eines Fernsehapparates, der mit Jungfraukabelfernsehen zusammen mit Qualitätsschlafzimmermöbeln komplett ist.

The Brierley

Exceptional! The apartment is first class; a real home from home. It is fully equipped with quality equipment - everything one could possibly want or need for a stay of what ever length. It is situated in a quiet location with stunning views of The Minster and within very easy reach of the city’s shops and eateries. This was our third visit and we have already booked again for next year.

Brilliant location

This is a lovely apartment in a wonderful location. You can see the Minster from the lounge and the bells ringing on a Sunday morning are memorable. There are lots of restaurants and bars. We would recommend the Forest and the Ivy. You need to book wherever you go.

Great Apartment

I've been to York many times now and stayed in apartments around the city but I must say this one tops the lot. I have to give it 10/10. As soon as my daughter and I entered it was very homely and all of the above that I have tick off. Yes I would definitely recommend 100%. Many thanks to the owner for letting us stay.

Location, location, location

This was our last stop on a 10 day tour of England and Wales, and by far the best place we stayed on the entire trip. A little difficult to find, but once inside, spacious, clean, views of the west end of York Minster, walking distance to everything. We would definitely come back and stay again.

Another great stay

We have stayed at The Brierley several times and always enjoyed it. The location, with safe, gated parking, is superb. The apartment is tastefully decorated and all furnishings, appliances and household goods are of a high quality. The property has always been cleaned to a high standard but, on both the last time we stayed here in 2024 and again this year, we were disappointed at the state of the windows in the sitting room, which were very dirty on the outside. This is no doubt in part due to ongoing building works in nearby properties. As one of the major selling points of this property is the amazing views of the Minster, it was a shame about the partially obscured view, especially with the sunshine showing up every bit of dirt.

We love the Brierley. Our third visit and it won't be our last! Great location in centre of York with own private parking. The apartment is well fitted out with good quality fixtures and fittings and has everything you could need, apart from a full length mirror!! Which we overlook as it offers everything else we want.

Second stay as good as the first.

Excellent location with dedicated parking in the heart of York. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well provided. The only criticisms are that it is lacking a full length mirror and non-slip mats in the showers, and the mattresses have soft edges which make you feel like rolling out of bed.

my wife and i had a lovely stay i would recommend the brierly as a great place to stay when visiting york the decorating needs to be refreshed as it has to keep to the standards of local residents who maintain their property,s to a high standard but i do intend to go back also it was great to know our car was safe and secure in car park .

Beautiful apartment in wonderful location

We have stayed at The Brierley several times over the years and keep going back because of the excellent location, offering secure parking, the comfort and cleanliness. The Minster bells on Sundays have to be heard to be believed - wonderful! The only negative comment I have is that several of the window frames are now showing their age and need some repair/repainting but this didn't detract from our enjoyment of another excellent visit.

Perfect Location

This was our second visit to this property. We love it! Tucked away behind York Minster with it's own secure parking space it's the ideal place to be in York. Everything is easily accessible on foot from it so no need to move the car. The apartment is on the first floor but stairs are new, wide and easy to negotiate. Inside it is well equipped with good quality furnishings and equipment.

Great York Location

The location is superb. The facility is great. The only problems for us was a lack of clear directions for 1) using the washing machine - who knew you had to slam the door to get it to work; 2) directions for running the dishwasher; 3) turning on the TV - had to have the "York Stays" rep come over to help figure that one out, plus let us know the slamming secret for the washing machine. Other than these specific issues, we really enjoyed our stay.

The Brierley

Our third stay here! Such a lovely homely apartment. Excellent location right next to the Minster. Excellent safe parking within a gated car park - you can see the car from the apartment. Small things that need to be addressed: the double bed is a beautiful sleigh bed but needs a new mattress. There is a bit of a drain smell around the bedrooms/bathrooms. The sofa isn’t terribly comfortable. Having said that we love it here and will return.

Excellent location in York with parking.

We recently had our second stay here. It is a generously sized flat overlooking the frontage of the Minster. We pre booked and visited all the major attractions with a simple 5-10 minutes max walk from the accommodation. It is well furnished and the kitchen has every modern/traditional gadget you would ever need. I am pleased to see the main bedroom now has side table. There are so many good places to eat within a very short walk. It backs onto a couple of pubs, one had a live music night while we were there. The good thing was we didn’t get disturbed by the pubs or music at all, unlike the brewery delivery early morning. Sadly there were also builder totally renovating the house opposite who started up heavy machinery at 8am and then tree surgeons on the other side of the flat cutting the trees. Having said all that it is usually a peaceful place to stay. I would suggest the windows really need some maintenance and a really good window clean.

Potential to be 5* but falls short

Apartment is in a beautiful location and building. Excellent secure parking. Peaceful and very quiet. Spacious apartment which has a lovely atmosphere. Two of the three smart televisions did not work despite the agent trying solve the problem. No full length mirror. Had to be careful in shower as there was no anti slip mat. The seal along the bottom of the shower screen in baththroom was very dirty. Items on kitchen window sill covered in dust. No user instructions for kitchen appliances and TV's No obvious switch for the standard lamps, thought they needed new bulbs. Eventually found the switch on the wall at the opposite end of the room. Couch is pilled and bit tired and the throw had hairs on it. Welcome pack very poor, 4 tea bags, 2 coffee bags, sachets of milk and 2 small packs of biscuits which were stale. Wrong Wi-Fi code in details emailed a few days before we arriived. As such spent an hour trying to get the Wi-Fi to work. Overall not as advertised and not value for money.

Comfortable apartment and great location

Right next to York Minster, a beautiful first floor apartment with quality furnishings and fittings. We loved the beds and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Televisions in the bedrooms didn't work but we had no time to use them anyway. Definitely recommend.
