Thank you very much. The building is in a conservation area that prohibit changing the building features and as you said it's part of the charm of visiting Edinburgh with roots deep in history.

Thank you. I'm aware of the window issue and it's Silicon seal of the frame. The rap in kitchen works but you need to turn it on properly! However we made arrangements to replace the whole mixers taps in the kitchen. These are not serious issues. It's a large, well equipped flat, quiet, sunny and in perfect location. Regards. If I was you I would give it 4 STARS.

The flat need of minor upgrade but unfortunately this means we would have to charge substantially more daily rent, most ordinary guests would not be encouraged to book. We had a coffee maker but one guests liked it very much that they took it with them!. The flat itself is modern and has all the conveniences for short stay and space is adequate. Thank you for the review. I believe the review springs from my message to the guest of leaving flat as a rubbish tip and cleaner refused to clean and requested extra cleaning fee. The table lamp broken and left without informing us about it. i use HER OWN WORDS in her message to Us about the issue: quote Erin '''I also understand that I was default on taking out the rubbish and taking items off the counter. My apologies about the lamp but that was ok whenever I left and not understanding about the laundry, more than happy to pay for the unfilled part of my agreement on my behalf of not dispossing of the rubbish but that doesn't mean someone . Please keep the remaining payments to cover the lamp, but I will be sure not recommend or stay to avoid any contact with you again. Thank you for your response and your time.''end of quote. i did not take the price of the table lamp BUt accepted the extra cleaning fee for the cleaner. no further comment is necessary.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry you feel that way. You knew from the start there is no free parking at the flat door. Agree some aspects in flat need upgrading that should be done next season and unfortunately the price will go up due to cost of flat upkeep. Regards

Thank you. The building entrance is being renovated completely soon. Unfortunately your group left the flat in a mess especially the bathroom and kitchen also the curtain real that was recently fixed was avulsed from wall (cleaners report and photo the screw housingmplug is avulsed a witness to force used ). You have a duty of care for rental accommodation. I'm not claiming further expenses on this occasion but I hope in the future you take better care.

Well he stated on a message through VRBO QUOTE (We are enjoying our stay enjoying the short walk to the Commonwealth Pool. It allows my son to rest between his swimming heats in the morning and then finals in the evening. With that in mind, may I ask if we can stay beyond the checkout time of 10:30, especially if you do not have new guests coming tomorrow. Up to 3pm would be ideal.). We said No because cleaner booked and would charge if flat not access able and we are using the flat that day. As for the windows actually when we came it was closed given there was a storm the night before and probably he did not lock it. So his review is a blackmail for not letting stay another day time free. It's disgraceful.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately it's NOT objective and misleading. In short you failed to even use the proper key to open the outside door and bent the key,.there are two opening setting to windows u failed to operate it and the hight is standard for all buildings, we don't accept children in flat. We never mentioned there was barbique equipment it's not provided to prevent fires especially by people who can't operate windows! ONE radiator has to work freely (bathroom} otherwise the boiler pump would fail. All the rest works fine. We never said there is free parking as no such thing in Central Edinburgh but there is free parking not far from flat. It's great flat and building safe and well equipped for the price you pay per person. You are welcome to book in hotel for your group of three at a cost of £400/night. Safe return to USA.

Read the review. Her partner arrived alone but I received a message from her phone saying "we" are struggling with the internet in the flat, please note the phrase WE?. I tried to phone her got message saying "please state purpose of" call" then no answer. VRBO Involved and I asked to show her plane booking if she coming tomorrow she couldn't andd I offered her partner to leave next day with Full Refund of their booking and the night spent in flat free and he was happy with that and yes I suspected scam due to the inconsistency of their responses. We lost money not them.

Hanne, thank you for your positive response. I believe the difficulty to find the right key safe box was due to language barrier and I'm glad we could resolve it on the phone.
