I mistakenly made my initial for the right days, but the wrong year. Totally my fault, but when I reached out to the owner, he was at a family dinner, no problem, but he said to text him with updated information. That was on a Friday evening, I don't have exact timeline but did not hear back from him at all about updating reservation. Followed up the following Tuesday or Wednesday to get the corrected dates, not knowing if it was available.Also texted him the week of the reservation about making an exception for having people visit and never responded to my texts. Was also expecting an email to me directly about checking in process, not through the VRBO system, was not aware that it was done that way because I had received initial contact directly.The apartment itself is okay. Somewhat dark in the bottom corner of the complex I was having problems with the hot water in the shower, because I was turning it all the way up. It was tepid. When I asked him about, if he had told me to move the handle just partially up, that would have generated the hot water, but my thought was to move it all the way. His responses to my request were snarky and basically blaming me for not knowing that the handle position was the issue. Probably needs to fix the handle. He did have someone come look at, but we were not there when they came, so could not explain the issueOne of mattresses was terrible, saggy. Neighbors were very loud until 1:00 AM. Would not stay there again or recommend it.
