Das King Home ist ein geräumiges Einfamilienhaus in den Bergen in der Wohnanlage der Cliff Ridge Colony in Caesar's Head. Das Haus liegt bergseitig mit Blick auf das wunderschöne Jones Gap Naturschutzgebiet mit über 2900 SF Außenterrassen und Sichtschutzveranda! Das Haus ist ideal für Familienfeiern, Versammlungen und Outdoor-Enthusiasten. Wanderer genießen einen einfachen Zugang zu den nahe gelegenen Mountain Bridge-Naturpfaden und Biker die Mountainbike-Herausforderung Caesar's Head.

Das Erdgeschoss ist ein großartiger Ort für Spiele, Filme, Lesen und Gespräche. Großes Hauptwohnzimmer mit Kamin, Gewölbedecken und viel Platz zum Ausbreiten und Entspannen! TV-Schrank mit Stereoanlage. Öffnet sich auf große Wrap-Around-Deck mit herrlichem Blick auf die Berge und großen Picknicktisch und reichlich Sitzgelegenheiten! Eine geräumige, gut ausgestattete Küche verfügt über zwei nebeneinander angeordnete Kühlschränke, eine Mikrowelle, einen Warmhalteofen und einen Gasherd mit 6 Brennern. Große Arbeitsinsel und reichlich Geschirr, Töpfe, Pfannen, Geschirr usw. Butlers Pantry mit Keurig und Kaffeemaschine. Großer Frühstücksraum mit Tisch für 8 Personen. Der Frühstücksraum öffnet sich auf einen großen Bildschirm in der Veranda mit Sitzgelegenheiten und Holzkohlegrill. Diese Etage verfügt über das Hauptschlafzimmer (Kingsize-Bett) mit eigenem Bad und das Gästezimmer (Doppelbett) mit einfachem Zugang zum Bad im Flur.

Die untere Ebene verfügt über 5 Schlafzimmer (4 Kings und 1 Full). Familienzimmer mit Kamin, Bartresen und TV-Schrank. Kochnische mit Herd, Geschirrspüler und Mikrowelle. Frühstückstisch für 6 Personen. Feuerstelle im Freien. Halbes Bad. Wäscheschrank mit Waschmaschine / Trockner.

Große Kellerhöhle mit Billardtisch, Sitzecke mit TV, Kamin und Zugang zum Unterdeck. Großes Vollbad mit begehbarer Dusche.

Nach einem zehnminütigen Spaziergang erreichen Sie das Gemeinschaftserholungsgebiet mit 2 Swimmingpools (in der Saison beheizt), einem privaten See (Kanufahren und Angeln) und 2 Tennisplätzen. Der Dupont State Forest mit seinen drei Wasserfällen ist eine 15-minütige Fahrt entfernt, und der Caesar's Head State Park ist weniger als 5 Minuten entfernt (WLAN hier verfügbar).

In der Umgebung befinden sich mehrere Golfplätze sowie Aktivitäten am Fluss, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und kulturelle Veranstaltungen, darunter das berühmte Brevard Music Festival und das Flatrock Summer Playhouse. Beautiful Home in the Mountains

The house is awesome! There were eleven of us and we had a wonderful time sitting at the dining room table and in the large living room visiting with each other. The kitchen had everything we needed. The views from the decks were amazing. The host replied to all my emails immediately. A truly wonderful stay!

Great House!

This was the perfect house for several families to come together. There are a lot of different areas to hang out and the porches are AMAZING! We had a blast. The only issues we had were the pool cues were all broken and the porches leaked really badly so it was hard to sit out there when it rained. Overall great stay!

Spiritual Awakening and Rejuvenation!!!!

We needed a place to lodge friends and family, including my Pastor of 30+ years, for my daughters wedding. We had the most wonderful time making meals together. Laughing and talking and telling stories. Truly people laughed, cried and really got to know and reacquaint with each other. It was GREAT! We are all ready planning our next stay.

Wedding stay

This home is spectacular. My daughter got married at Pretty Place chapel. The bride and her bridesmaids stayed here and got ready for the big day. The house is huge. There was plenty of room to spread out. I would definitely recommend this place. It's about a 25 min drive to Pretty Place Chapel. 9 miles

Great Mountain Home

Everyone enjoyed the living space and beautiful views. The rooms were comfortable and there is lots of space. The description of the rooms on the website could be better. Feedback for property management — Since we pay cleaning fees, it would be nice to not have to worry about unloading the last dishwasher load and stripping the beds. But a minor concern after a very delight stay.

Huge Cabin

Even though the hurricane remnants knocked out the electricity for 36 hours (it is still 2020 so we should have known), we were saved by the fact this cabin has a gas water heater and a gas oven. We were able to cook and enjoy each others company, while still getting to hike Raven Cliff Falls trail at Caesar's Head State Park, which is about a mile from the neighborhood. We enjoyed the large living area that easily accommodated our group of 10 adults, which each couple having a king bedroom and ensuite bath.

Lindsay/Thompson Wedding Weekend

Absolute beautiful home with lots of room for everyone. We rented this home for 5 days for my sons wedding at the Pretty Place. It has a great kitchen with anything you can imagine to accommodate 14 people! We found the lake on the last day. Only wish we would have found it sooner! It was a great place for memorable photos. Only thing that could be considered a downside is that two of the showers were not operable while we were there. Other than that, we were more than happy with this home and would most definitely recommend it and hope to some day go back!!!

Chef’s kitchen with unbelievable views and comfortable beds!

I VRBO a lot and I’ve never stayed anywhere with a better stocked kitchen! Ice cream maker, mixers, etc. The views from the multiple patios were spectacular. We ate dinner on the patio every night and watched the sun go down. All the beds were extremely comfortable and I usually have a hard time sleeping in a vacation rental but not here. Lastly, we did different activities every day that were close by and easy to get to - tubing, zip lining, sliding rock and shopping In Hendersonville and Brevard. We had one issue with the oven and the property manager came out the same day. Can’t recommend this property enough.

Mountain Vacation

Very spacious for our family of 13. Kitchen well supplied with dishes, cookware, utensils. Everyone had a comfortable bed. (We did have black ants in the house so that needs to be addressed.) Couldn’t use the upstairs TV due to no WiFi signal but other two levels were available. Loved the decks on each level with great views. Clubhouse pool and lake was beautiful. Did some fishing, canoeing and paddle boating. Lots of fun. Driveway was quiet a challenge for five vehicles!

A magical weekend!

I stayed here over Labor Day weekend with my fiance and 10 friends for our combined bachelor/bachelorette celebration. This property was the perfect choice for our special get-together. Not only was there a bedroom for nearly every couple/guest in our party, but nearly everyone had a private bathroom. With the well-stocked industrial kitchen (and additional kitchen downstairs!) we had the perfect amount of space and appliances to cook dinners for our large group. My only complaint would be that there was not a ton of space for all 12 of us to fit at the main dining table, but nonetheless, the dining area was beautiful with a stunning wicker chandelier. Views from the decks were incredible. The local area does not have a ton to offer in the way of restaurants/entertainment, but that was expected as this is a more remote area and the closest town is Brevard (about 25 minutes away). There are hiking trails within a few miles, for which we had to pay ($3-6 per adult), but they were very nice and offered views of waterfalls. As is customary with a mountain home, the driveway was a bit steep and always required some maneuvering to get cars in/out, but we were able to fit four cars there without a problem and could've fit a fifth. Overall, we had an incredible weekend; these are just some nitpicky comments that might be helpful for the next vacationer to know. We would 100% book this place again and feel so lucky to have stayed here.

Honest review and take note

This property is very nice for group gatherings as long as the air conditioner is properly maintained. The main floor with the views, family room, kitchen & 2 BRs was brutally hot from Sunday through Thursday. While the owner and the management tried to assist, they could not address the problem. Between the phone calls and the service technicians, our stay was impacted. After contact with the owner, I was refunded 10% of the booking while 33% of the house was not usable. The second floor kitchen was suggested as the fix but it had no refrigerator and no dining space! Plus all of our groceries were on the affected floor. Very disappointing. MAINTENANCE: The metal porch furniture was rusted and looked terrible. The cushions were not maintained. The outside step railing was close to broken. The stairs treads were dangerously narrow for an older person. The air conditioning filters were beyond filthy. They had not been changed in months if not years with dust hanging out of the return. The parking is problematic. This is a community where everyone drives golf carts but one was not provided. The owners expect their guests to enjoy a house that stayed at 81 or 82 degrees for four days. The Luna moth was a plus but there are carpenter bees on the main porch for those who are allergic. PLUS: The kitchen was well organized and the beds were comfortable. The community pool was fantastic though and the sunrises were amazing. The bedrooms were cute.

We apologize again for one of the a/c units going out during your stay. We calculated 33% for the 3 days without air for the refund.as 2.5 of the 3 floors still had a/c. Thank you for commenting on the cushions. The owners are going to replace them. Parking and overflow parking are addressed in the house rules so that guests are aware. We are glad you were still able to enjoy the beautiful views experienced at Mystic Mountain!

Amazing Space for a big group!

Absolutely LOVED the space & the views! There was enough space for us to get together in one room & at the same time, enough space for us to have our own space. AMAZING views from the porches… I spent a lot of mornings, with my coffee, the swings & the mountains.

Bike race weekend

Amazing house, especially the kitchen. Room for our 12 plus more if needed. So many places to spread out. Perfect view for sunrise and sunset. The property manager was always quick to answer when any issue came up. Hope to rent again for next year’s race.

Beautiful home in gated community

Home owner easily available house as nice as described. Perfect location and set up for our family. We were celebrating the passing of our grandparents that lived many years in Bevard. When the family gets together we let everyone take over one or two meals. The industrial kitchen was well appointed and serve red our needs well. Highly recommend.

Pictures Don't Do It Justice!

The views are stunning and the house layout is perfect for a large, extended family or friend group. There are many places for quiet sitting or gathering together. There is also so much amazing outdoor space on 3 decks and the screen porch. - all with amazing views. We had lovely weather and many in our group spent much time on the upper deck painting, reading or napping on the swing. The kitchen was the most well stocked of any house we have ever stayed. Pots and pans of all sizes, bar ware, 3 refrigerators - virtually every utensil you can think of. The chefs in our group were impressed that they had everything they needed. Our entire group of 13 raved about this house and the views.

Great location for an outdoor adventure!

We had a group of 10 from Central PA. Our main purpose was mountain biking, hiking and road biking and this location fit the bill! The house provided everything we needed and more. The views are spectacular and the pictures don’t do it justice. Everyone really enjoyed having their own bathroom and the kitchen accommodated the group cooking easily.

Beautiful spacious home but not enough parking and some issues

Gorgeous mountain view with plenty of space inside but not enough places to park outside with steep incline. We had issues with both stoves working because pilot kept going out,the pilot wasn't lit on hot water heater so cold showers on wedding day. House had a musty smell at first but went away after opening windows but took awhile and lastly the light switches were confusing. It might also be a good idea to be able to read all the rules ahead of time instead of taking away family time to read them all. Thank you for opening your lovely home to us, we did appreciate the fact it was big enough to accommodate all of us just felt someone should have made sure those issues were addressed ahead of time.

Hello Barbara- I am sorry to hear about the stove issues and hot water heater issue, I was not aware of these problems until the cleaning crew had informed me of this on your check out date. We would have been more than happy to get these issues resolved if they had been reported to us, so I am sorry you that you had to deal with them while you were there! I am unsure why the house rules did not come thru to you, as I always email them when I make initial contact and send over the short term rental contract. I am not sure why this had happened, but I always like to send them so renters know what to expect and so I can answer any questions for their stay, so again, I apologize if it got lost in my email. There is overflow parking available at the Clubhouse, I have updated the house rules book so future guest knows this! Thank you for pointing that out. perfect spot for a family reunion

Wow. King house is incredible. You can feel the family love and history when you walk in. The first thing you notice is that every floor has a beautiful view and every room has unique furnishings. The location is secluded, yet not far from Greenville airport, and still 30 minutes to an hour away from everything a family wants to do in the mountains (trails, tubing, fishing, shopping, breweries, you name it). The layout of the house allows different groups to have their own area which was nice for doing schoolwork or remote office work. The neighborhood is awesome with two nice pools(one heated) , a fishing pond/lake stocked with trout and loaded with bass and bream and canoes to use. Tennis courts are nice with a quick dry surfacing that is needed in this area. Everyone in the development is super friendly and helpful with advice on things to do and the closest town, Brevard, is the coolest mountain town in the area. Great vibe. Now back to the real world. ugh.

Wedding week for both families

We just concluded our wonderful week at the King House. Due to current world events, out daughters wedding plans had to be severely modified. She found the Pretty Place Chapel online and decided that it was perfect. So, both families decided to stay together in one house. With 12 adults, we needed a BIG house. The King house is certainly that. It was perfect. There were areas big enough to handle all of us together and enough places for everyone to have alone time if necessary. We had a nice, intimate lunch on the main deck after the wedding and it was perfect. I sent pics to the property manager of the newlyweds at the house. The only negatives (as addressed in previous reviews) were the weak WiFi signal and the pool cues. The wifi was ok up to about 3 users at a time. After that, it was extremely difficult to use. It would be nice if we didn't need it, but unfortunately our lives kind of require having a connection for work. I was able to get new pool cue tips at a billiard supply store in Greenville, so that problem should be resolved. All in all, a perfect venue for a large group to spend a very relaxing week in the mountains with awesome views. Also, it helped save the wedding plans of a wonderful young couple who refused to let a pandemic keep them from starting their married lives together.

Spacious, fully furnished mountain cabin/home with spectacular views

This is a 7-bedroom 3-level home in a gated community. The house has a large balcony on each level, with spectacular views of the smokey mountains. While we stayed it rained every afternoon and after the rains you could see the steam from the forest rise above, giving the mountains their name. On the top level is a fully stocked kitchen with every pot, pan, baking dish, bowls, plates, utensils you can think of. Plus large steel refrigerator with plenty of room. Being 14 of us we made full use of the kitchen. The very comfy living room and 2 bedrooms (including the master bedroom) are also located on this top level. There is a smaller kitchen in the lower, where the 5 bedrooms are located. Each bedroom as a comfortable king/queen size bed. Most bedrooms have an attached bath. The lowest level has a game-room with a pool, poker table with chips, TV, etc. The kids loved it and that's where they spent most of their time. Also, there is a lake in the community with kayaks for use, and plenty of fishes to catch. And a community center with wifi and 3 small heated pools. Just be prepared as there is no internet or cell service at the house, though there is DirectTV. I did not miss the cell service, but I did miss the Wifi. And there is no gas barbecue grill (though we were told otherwise) but there is a coal weber grill. So the only 2 things missing is Wifi and a gas barbecue grill. Overall, if you have a large group and need up to 7 bedrooms, then this is the place. You will not regret it and it will be a memorable experience for all, as it was for us.
