Blanco ist ein versteckter Schatz im Herzen des Texas Hill Country am Blanco River, nur 80 km nördlich der Innenstadt von San Antonio und fast genauso weit westlich von Austin. Sie sind 15 Minuten von Wimberley, 15 Minuten von Dripping Springs und 25 Minuten von Johnson City entfernt.

Unsere Ranch bietet ein einzigartiges Texas Hill Country-Erlebnis und bietet einfachen Zugang zu den umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten. Es liegt in der Nähe von über 30 Weingütern und mehreren State Parks. Dies ist der Ort, an dem Sie sich in einem "Hill Country State of Mind" befinden. Die Straßen im gesamten Hügelland variieren von asphaltiert bis unbefestigt und alle auf sanften Hügeln. Seien Sie bereit, die weniger befahrene Straße zu nehmen, denn hier finden Sie die Schätze!

Während Ihres Aufenthalts werden Sie einen unvergesslichen Urlaub in unserem voll möblierten, 1520 m² großen Hill Country Home mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern auf 40 Hektar genießen. Das Haupt- / Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett, während die restlichen Zimmer mit einem Doppelbett und eines mit 2 Einzelbetten ausgestattet sind. Es ist bequem für 6 Personen zu schlafen.  Alle Betten haben Bettwäsche und zusätzliche Decken und Kissen. Die Badezimmer sind mit Handtüchern, Wäsche, Handtüchern und schwarzen Mikrofasertüchern zum Entfernen von Make-up ausgestattet.

Das Wohnzimmer ist mit TV, Blu-ray-Player und DirectTV ausgestattet.  Die Küche verfügt über alle neuen Geräte und ist mit allen notwendigen Artikeln zum Kochen ausgestattet, einschließlich Geschirr, Besteck, Gläsern, Weingläsern, Kaffeetassen und vielem mehr.

Neues Ganzhaus-Filtersystem und Wasserenthärter installiert sowie Umkehrosmoseanlage mit Kühlschrank für makelloses Trinkwasser verbunden.

Im Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss befindet sich eine tragbare Kühleinheit für zusätzliche Kühlung bei steigender Wärme und wir möchten, dass Sie sich wohlfühlen.

Es gibt viele Wanderwege und Aussichten für Meilen. Verbringen Sie den Tag auf einer Weinkellertour, schwimmen Sie im Guadalupe, erkunden Sie die örtlichen Schwimmlöcher oder wandern Sie auf den Pfaden unseres Grundstücks nach Pfeilspitzen. Besuchen Sie Wimberley oder Dripping Springs, um gutes Essen und Shopping zu genießen.

Beobachten Sie den Sonnenuntergang von der weitläufigen Veranda oder dem Balkon des Schlafzimmers im Obergeschoss. Schätzen Sie Ihre Familienzeit an der Feuerstelle, in der Marshmellows geröstet werden, die Gerüche machen und mehr Sterne aufnehmen, als Sie jemals gesehen haben! Es gibt 1,7 Meilen Feldweg zum Eingang der Unterkunft.

Just what we needed. I’ve told my daughter (10) and son (17) about the stars at night in the Hill Country. Was finally able to have them see them…..all of them! Central Location

We make an annual trip to the Texas Hill Wineries. Lonesome Dove was a great location for our favorite places. We enjoy the quiet, remote places to stay and this was right on target. Remote enough with a one hour drive max to the best wineries. The view was spectacular and the home was clean and comfortable.

Amazing location with spectacular views!!

What a great getaway from the big city! The views were amazing! The owners couldn't have been more attentive and welcoming!! It was so relaxing to enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch in the morning and to sit out by the fire pit to watch the sunset 🌅 in the evening!! There were so many charming little towns nearby and many brewerys and wineries in the area. I hope to stay at this property again next year!!

Our stay at this cabin was extremely impressive. The view of rolling hills is accessible from all areas of this location. The hiking trails were invigorating for morning and evening walks and we enjoyed the endless photography opportunities of landscape, nature, and stars. The cabin itself was pleasant and relaxing, with plenty of room and amenities. Teresa, our hostess, was highly accommodating. We will absolutely stay here in the future.

Great views in the Hill Country

We enjoyed our stay at this Hill Country house. The owners were very nice, frequently checking on us. The house was very clean with comfortable living room, as described online but with room for improvement regarding a few things (limited silverware and glassware, low water pressure, upstairs A/C insufficient on hot days). The location is very peaceful and the views are absolutely amazing. Totally worth it!

Amazing views

We stayed here for the weekend and the views are amazing from the front porch. We even ended up seeing some deer in the morning through the front door. Everything was clean and nice. The trail on the property is a nice adventure as well. The house is a short drive to Pedernales Falls state park and we were able to go swim in the river and come back and still have a bunch of time to cook and relax. Definitely recommend.

Spectacular

Needed a few days to recharge and was blown away. The views are simply amazing and the drive down the gravel road to get to the property was one of the main highlights for us. Upon arrival everything from the outside to the inside was very clean and tidy. You can tell the owners take pride in hosting their guest. If you need a few days from the hustle and bustle this is the place to go. Communication with the host was impeccable,(Thank you Teresa) Cant wait to get back here for an even longer stay.

What an amazing property! Clean, all the necessary amenities, and an awe-inspiring. view, especially at night during a moon less evening. Loved our stay/awesome star gazing

This property is wonderful. We really enjoy sitting on the front porch. We walked a trail with our dogs. We made s'mores on the fire pit overlooking the canyon. The beds were comfortable. The star gazing was out of this world. We saw satellites moving across the sky, the big dipper so bright and many other constellations. Lots of shooting stars. We will definitely return to stay here this Fall or Winter.

The view is absolutely amazing! Worth every penny for the view alone. A few helpful things if you rent this home are that it sleeps 6, but has a tiny breakfast table for 4. There is only 1 chair at the firepit and 2 chairs on the porch, so we wished we had brought camping chairs. There is no coffee table or table big enough to play a game, puzzle or have everyone eat together. We loved it for the view and had a wonderful stay!

The Views

When the rooster crows at the break of dawn, look out on the Texas Hill Country and you’ll be gone— away— transported to a higher place than the here-on-earth. The property features sea fossil hunting, hiking trails, wildlife viewing and sightseeing from family-style chairs atop of a hill. The views alone are worth the price of admission, but Lonesome Dove Hill Country Cabin hosts comfortable beds and cozy communal living spaces, as well. We left our dog at home, but would recommend you bring yours along. It’s dog-friendly, and there’s nowhere a dog would enjoy more than the stomping grounds at Lonesome Dove Hill Country Cabin.

Amazing Views!

The house is super cute, the location private, and the views are amazing! You really just can't get over the views. It is off the beaten path and we loved it!I would say the communication with Teresa was exceptional. There was a slight glitch with the VRBO reservation and Teresa was quick to fix! She even texted the next day to check in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. What a super person! I highly recommend this property, not only for the quality of our stay, but for the quality of the owners!

Exceptional accommodations and spectacular night sky

This property is classic Hill Country, with gorgeous views, spacious privacy, and a beautiful, comfortable house. Wimberley, Dripping Springs, Blanco and Johnson City are short rides away. The owner was great to work with, very responsive and helpful, even as they dealt with their own family emergency. We had everything we needed for a long weekend of astrophotography: a timelapse of breathtaking starry night skies and the April 8 2024 total eclipse. Thank you again Teresa for your excellent support! We hope to come back later in the summer when the Milky Way galactic center is high in the night sky.

Secluded Cabin

We spent a, very rainy, 4th of July weekend here with our son and a friend of ours. The location was exactly what we were looking for, secluded with a great view, even if the weather didn't cooperate.The cabin was nice, the kitchen well stocked and it was generally pretty clean. We did have a problem with ants in a few places, but that can be common with a lot of rain in the area.There was a bit of a musty smell, especially upstairs, which might be caused by the fact that there are no AC vents upstairs. They did have a portable unit, which helped a bit, but it was still pretty stuffy. Also, one of the bedrooms upstairs is actually in a common area without a door.We had a lot of automated texts and emails from the hosts before and throughout our stay, but we got no reply when we mentioned the ants after check out.Also, we had a bit of trouble finding the place: we were actually going the right way, but there was a fork in the road and a blind curve that made us wonder. A bit if extra description of the driveway after the gate would have been helpful.

You really can't go wrong sitting on the front porch taking in the view with a bottle of Texas wine. Maybe some Willie Nelson to keep you company. (Bring your own bluetooth speaker) What isn't clear from the listing is there is a double track jeep trail that rivals many of the state parks we've hiked. Please practice leave no trace if you explore! Unfortunately for us it was cloudy so we missed seeing the stars, but I'm sure they are amazing. This property is truly secluded. Size wise it is perfect for four adults and two children. There is a 3rd bedroom with two twin beds. The dimmable pink salt lamp was an ideal night light. All the basics were there in the kitchen, but if you're a foodie/home chef, I'd recommend bringing your own equipment and don't forget olive oil, seasonings etc, but that goes for nearly any rental. You see lots of reviewers mention they'd come back to a place they're reviewing, but we genuinely will keep this one in mind for the future.
