Kronprins Olavs Villa truly is a unique property, having originally been a gift to the infant Crown Prince of Norway, the future King Olav in the early part of the 20th century.
It was later moved to its current location, log by log, and reconstructed. The property fell into disrepair, but extensive renovations were undertaken in the late 2000s before it was purchased by the current owner. Further renovations have taken place since, with more planned in the future.
KPOV, as it is affectionately known, is a substantial property with plentiful indoor and outdoor social space, as well as sizeable bedrooms to the second floor. All bedrooms are ensuite wetrooms with underfloor heating, which is certainly an added luxury unheard of in similar holiday rental properties.
The views are spectacular, with sweeping views of mountains, forests and the fjord. Sit back, relax and enjoy a BBQ and a glass of wine on the deck with friends & family; or use the villa as a jumping off point for exploring the West Coast of Norway with plenty of outdoor activities within easy reach, as well as the numerous attractions and places of interest in nearby Bergen (a summer perfect day trip).
If you are so inclined, we even provide use of a large boathouse (with private external docking area) - you are more than welcome to bring your boat along on your vacation!
We look forward to welcoming you to KPOV, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about your stay!
