Das Sidhean Dubha Holiday Home ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt im Zentrum von Portree, um Ihre Tour durch Skye zu genießen.
Wir bieten ein komfortables, zentral beheiztes Haus mit herrlichem Blick auf Loch Portree und nur 3 Gehminuten von den lebhaften Bars, Restaurants und Geschäften in Portree Village entfernt.
Wir befinden uns auch auf der berühmten Trotternish Tourist Loop, um schnell auf den Old Man of Storr, die Wasserfälle und andere Attraktionen im Norden zuzugreifen. Dunvegan im Westen erreichen Sie mit dem Auto in nur 30 Minuten. Die Lage des Sidhean Dubha ist ideal, um abends in den lebhaften Bars und Restaurants zu entspannen. Portree bietet auch verschiedene Wandermöglichkeiten wie den Hafen, Scorrybreac und den Aros Center Wald.
Unser geräumiges Ferienhaus ist komplett und bequem im traditionellen und modernen Stil eingerichtet. Wir hoffen, Sie bald begrüßen zu dürfen.
Unsere Unterkunft besteht aus einem Doppelzimmer mit Bad, einem Zweibettzimmer mit Bad und einem Doppelzimmer im Obergeschoss. Es gibt ein Familienbadezimmer und eine Dusche im Erdgeschoss. Die Zimmer mit Bad bieten Blick auf Loch Portree und beide Doppelzimmer verfügen über einen an der Wand montierten TV.
Das Erdgeschoss bietet eine Familienlounge, ein Esszimmer, eine Küche und einen Hauswirtschaftsraum.
Unsere Lounge ist gemütlich und komfortabel mit einem großen Flachbildfernseher und DVD-Player. Es gibt eine Auswahl an Büchern, DVDs und Brettspielen. Unser Esszimmer neben der Küche ist ideal für Unterhaltung und verfügt über alle Einrichtungen, einschließlich eines an der Wand montierten Fernsehers.
Wir bieten ein Willkommenspaket mit Brot, Milch und Kleinigkeiten, um Sie anzufangen. Unsere Küche ist modern und gut ausgestattet und verfügt über einen Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, eine Spülmaschine und eine Mikrowelle. Ein separater Hauswirtschaftsraum bietet Waschmöglichkeiten. Es gibt eine Linie nach hinten, um Kleidung zu trocknen.
Es gibt eine Picknickbank und einen Grillplatz im Vorgarten mit Blick auf Loch Portree.

Great Location - Perfect for our family.

We loved our stay at this lcottage in Portree. It felt very cozy and was nicely decorated. We had a night in when it was pouring rain outside; and took advantage of the common rooms, cooking in the well stocked kitchen, eating dinner at the dinning table, and playing games in the living room.

Wonderful location, great view, all the amenities we needed. So nice to be a short walk to the restaurants and shops. We had several choices, even without reservations.

Great base to visit Isle of Skye

This home provides a perfect home base for a visit to the Isle of Skye. It is well provisioned and has comfortable beds. The owner provided numerous suggestions for sites to see on the island which really helped us plan our visit.Even though the owner created a great video to help travelers find the house, we still missed it and had to circle back. Basically, it is the first driveway on the left once you get through the downtown area and swing left away from the water. You'll see a row of white houses, and this is one of the first set.We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Lots of room for a family group. Wonderful location—easy walking distance to grocery, shops & restaurants. A well appointed rental—much info about the local area & things to do. Great kitchen. We would love to stay here again!

House is very comfortable and great location. Owners very responsive. Highly recommended. Only things to consider: no dryer for laundry. Also, house needs a street address for Waze or Google Maps rather rely on a video winding you through Portree.

Great base to explore Skye

Easy to find. Lots of room, everything we needed was there, plus a few extras! Quiet, clean and comfortable - really enjoyed our stay. Excellent location to do the Trottenish Loop or explore the rest of Skye. Short walk from downtown restaurants.

Portree Perfection!

This was the second stop on our big Scotland road trip and we fell in love with Portree and this property. It has such a homey, welcoming vibe, the rooms and kitchen are perfectly appointed and the owner was a dream to work with. I will come back to Skye but only if this home is available!

Best Stay Ever!

We enjoyed everything about the cottage! Location was awesome. Wished we had planned more than a two night stay! Next time ! Everything was just as MR.Galloway said it would be! Beds were great! And toasty warm! Bathrooms were clean and just what we hoped for...want to come back!

Sidhean Dubha Holiday Home in early May

A great location to traverse the Isle of Skye. All details for the rental are clearly covered in an excellent guide book to the property and region by the owner. Bedrooms are a wee bit small and the bathrooms, while modern, require a little attention but nothing that would deter requesting it to be rented again. Go and enjoy the home and region. Fantastic time for us 4 adults!

Great location but…

The house is in a great location and very clean. Only downside it rains everyday and the house does not have a/c or fans to air dry your clothes. There is not a dryer in the house just a washing machine so your clothes and shoes stay wet all the time. Upstairs rooms are warm, I didn’t open the windows because of the midges flying around

True cottage experience

We really enjoyed our cottage experience with each couple appreciating the 3 Bedroom/3 Bath lodging. The kitchen was perfect as we prepared breakfast each morning . the Co Op grocery was a brief 5 min walk making it so easy to pick up food and adult beverages. We even picked up take away for dinner since the restaurant lines were long. The booking was easy and Doug was outstanding with providing the vital information & responding to questions. I would highly recommend the place for groups—-just make sure you drive slow as you make the last turn out of town so you don’t miss this place on the left. The parking spot in front was wonderful- never got back into car at the end of the day !

Beautiful popoerty - amazing location!

We had a wonderful time in Protree and the unit itself is wonderful, great location with easy access private parking. The only complication we had is that the hot water heater seemed to be on a timer (which we couldn't locate) and set to not turn on until later in the morning. We tend to be early risers and had no hot water until sometime around 9:00 AM in the morning. I am sure this is something that can be easily addressed, just wanted to let the property mangers to know - and guests to confim that it's been addressed. All in all a great experience and I would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful property

First of all we were all so impressed that Dougie sent a youtube video to help us get to the house. If he hadn't it might have been hard to find. So thank you Dougie. The house was very comfortable, the beds and the furniture. The kitchen was very well appointed and the bathrooms were perfect for us. The location was excellent. The parking made it very easy to get back out on the road which was very important to these Americans not used to Scot roads. Dougie even called before we arrived to make sure we understood the directions and to ask if we had any more questions. Thanks again. To sum it up, this was definitely a 5 and if we ever come again or if we know someone who wants to travel to your beautiful country, this property will be highly recommended.

Even better than hoped

The Seaview is within an easy three minutes walk of several restaurants and a small grocery, easy even for those past seventy years old as we are. Though it is quiet and outside the madness of Central Portree, it is so close as to eliminate the need for using your car in Portree. There is a large parking area at the house which is easy to access and is just a few steps down from the house. There are three full bathrooms in the three-bedroom house. The house is thoroughly modern in all the aspects of comfort and yet retains an ageless charm. The views from the living area and the picnic table outside are just spectacular. The beds are comfortable as are the chairs in the living area. The house is perfectly situated to begin the Trotternish Loop since it located right on A855. Though it is self-catering, the hosts made sure that we had the essentials such as toilet tissue and paper towels when we arrived. On top of that they provided us a welcome basket containing cereals, condiments, jams, fruit juice and a small bottle of fish milk in the refrigerator. They were responsive to my questions, exceedingly welcoming in our contacts, and thorough in the details of how the house worked and where things were located. It was absolutely perfect in every way. We just wished that we could have stayed for more than our planned two days. We will be back to delightful Portree and the Seaview House will be our choice for our stay.

Perfect location

Portree is such a wonderful town and this house was steps away from everything with a great view of the harbor. We only got to stay 2 nights due to our itinerary but would have loved staying there for a week or more!Hope to come back one day.

Isle of Skye

The property was clean and spacious. The 3 bedrooms more than met our needs for a party of 5. The bathrooms were clean and easy to navigate. We really enjoyed the property and it was close to town for us to navigate to restaurants and the Co-Op for supplies during our stay. I personally really appreciated the "American" coffee maker- for a tea drinking country. The outdoor space was perfect as we had lovely weather during our visit.
