Glenbranter Cottage ist ein gemütliches Ferienhaus für zwei Personen im Glenbranter Wald. Eine ruhige und abgelegene Schlucht am Loch Eck, "eines der Juwelen des (Argyll) Forest Park" und ein Teil des Nationalparks Lomond und Trossachs. Dieses charmante Ferienhaus ist ideal für Paare, die die Natur lieben, der perfekte Ort, um sich zu entspannen, zu entspannen und diesen schönen Teil der Cowal-Halbinsel zu erkunden. Für die Natur gibt es einen schönen Gartenbereich. Der Vorgarten bietet einen spektakulären Blick auf den schönen umliegenden Wald und die Landschaft.

Das Glenbranter Cottage ist ein idyllisches Ferienhaus für alle Jahreszeiten, egal ob Sie einen Abend im Garten genießen und dabei die Aussicht genießen oder sich am Holzfeuer entspannen. Ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um diese spektakuläre Region zu erkunden.

Der Wald und die umliegenden Seen sind für Wandern und Radfahren bekannt. Das Cottage liegt in der Nähe der malerischen Allt Robuic-Schlucht und der Wasserfälle. Sie wohnen direkt am Cowal Way, einem beliebten 57-Meilen-Wanderweg zwischen Inverglas und Portavadie.

Glenbranter ist auch ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt für anspruchsvollere Bergwanderungen mit mehreren leicht zugänglichen Gipfeln, die steil über Loch Eck steigen und einen atemberaubenden Blick über die Cowal-Halbinsel, die Clyde-Seen und darüber hinaus bieten.

Drei Kilometer entfernt liegt das Dorf Strachur mit seinen zwei Gemischtwarenläden, dem berühmten Creggans Inn, das leckeres Essen und eine gemütliche Bar bietet, und das Frühstücksrestaurant, die Brötchen zum Mitnehmen und die Mahlzeiten den ganzen Tag über

Ein Parkplatz abseits der Straße und die Nutzung eines großen abschließbaren Abstellraums für Fahrräder und Kanus.

Lovely quiet place to stay

A lovely place to stay, quiet and secluded. It's small but well equipped and everything worked well. No cell phone reception because of the enclosed valley location but the wifi is excellent. There are good hill walks directly from the cottage and lots more within a 20 minute drive. Have stayed before and will hopefully stay again next year.

Peaceful

Mark and Alison are great hosts. They go above and beyond to make your stay is very welcoming, peaceful and comfortable. This was my second stay at their cottage. It's the perfect getaway to do some soul searching. Hiking, walks, travelling to other costal towns were they are easy to get to from the cottage by car. There's also a bus stop on the main road if like me, you don't drive. Suitable for loan travellers. A romantic break or go with a friend. Their cottage has everything you need for a home from home. Having the log burner adds to the atmospheric surroundings of the beautiful Scottish countryside. I highly recommend their beautiful cottage. Thank you for your hospitality. The Perfect Base

Glenbranter Cottage is the perfect base to stay whilst exploring the Cowal Peninsula it's set within the Argyle National Park, with lovely forest and river walks, with fantastic and scenic waterfalls literally on the doorstep. The whole peninsula is within easy driving range, with too many scenic routes to list. The cottage is small but perfect for two, it is finished to a high standard and has everything you may need for your stay. The hosts were very helpful and polite, and I would not hesitate to recommend this location.

Dream Holiday Coutryside Getaway

Alison and Mark, owners/hosts are amazing. Nothing was too much for them. I don't drive. Both offered to drive to the village to the shops if I needed anything. Their beautiful cottage had everything you need. An added bonus was a log burner, coal also provided. Bottle of prossecco as a welcome gift. Lovely surprise. The scenery is outstanding.. its a one bedroom rustic modern cottage. Also has heating installed. Instructions folder for all appliences and maps of the area and surrounding areas. All local amenities are alsovin the folder with emergency numbers too. There is a river which runs through just across from the cottage with use of their huge garde. Stunning forest trail set in a beautiful valley. Cant thank them enough for their hospitality. I highly recommend their beautiful cottage. Their house is next door which made me feel comfortable as I ravel on my own. Another added bonus is they except up to 2 pets too. I had my new cat and a friends dog with me.. Thank you Alison and Mark for making my childhood dream Christmas break come true.v

Perfect Hideaway!

This pretty little cottage is in a beautiful location, you really have to see it to believe it. We loved our stay here, there was so much to do and see we will have to return and we definitely wished we had booked for longer. So many walking routes on the doorstep in the most spectacular scenery.It is a perfect haven, our host gave us a warm welcome and the cottage had everything you could need.

Peace &quiet

Small bit cozy so many walks in the woods waterfalls and so quiet we walked along the. Loch sides and visited Inverary,Dunoon, the green welly Stop at tyndum had meals at two Pubs no more than 4 miles from cottage Were the food and service was excellent We certainly recommend this holiday location.

A beautiful, quiet retreat in historic Argyll.

The cottage is small but beautifully laid out with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Instructions given by hosts for entry were clear. It is the perfect place to switch off and enjoy the deep peacefulness of this corner of Scotland. It is located in woodland in the midst of a network of local walks. It is also within easy reach of many of Argyll’s historic and ancient sites.

Lovely Cosy Cottage

We absolutely loved our stay at Glenbranter Cottage. The location is beautiful and there are lots of lovely woodland walks in the area. The cottage is very well appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The welcome bottle of prosecco was a nice surprise too! Mark and Alison were very helpful and gave us some good tips on things to do and places to eat. We would happily stay there again.

Glenbranter paradijsje

Je weet dat het weer in Schotland heel erg wisselvallig kan zijn en de midges hongerig. Wanneer je je tegen beiden wapent kun je in Glenbranter Cottage de vakantie van je leven hebben! Een prachtige plek, prima uitvalsbasis voor allerlei activiteiten in de omgeving, magische natuur (Puck's Glen!!!) rust, ruimte, vriendelijke mensen, heerlijk eten (wel even wennen aan de openingstijden/sluitingstijden van Tearooms en Inns en Restaurants), fantastische wandelingen zowel voor de avonturier als voor de bedaagde wandelaar. Wandelroutes goed en duidelijk aangegeven. Wij kijken op een geweldige vakantie terug. Oh ja de woning: knus, stil, schoon, voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt, goede meubels en heel vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer/vrouw. Mark kent de omgeving op zijn duimpje; hij is opgegroeid in en rond Glenbranter. Een absolute aanrader.

Perfect location

Loved the location and all the stunning walks directly from the cottage, wildlife was great and Mark gave us really useful tips. Take the Dunoon ferry to save travel time instead of driving round no booking needed, just drive on.

A warm and cosy cottage in the woods.

Perfect for a quiet and secluded retreat. You can walk out of the cottage into the most beautiful woods. There are waterfalls and walks around the loch. The cottage is small but very comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone who loves nature. We can’t wait to go again.

Hidden gem - highly reccomend!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Glenbranter Cottage; the cottage is very stylish, super comfortable and the kitchen is really well equipped. The location was perfect to explore the local area and was really peaceful. Alison and Mark's personal recommendations and advice were great, and it was lovely to meet them both. We would highly reccomend a stay here and would not hesitate to stay again.
