Luckily we had the opportunity to stay in Studio Ocean Breeze for four weeks in October 2011. We had a great time enjoying the island`s beautiful capital city Willemstaad and its nice beaches.
Studio Ocean Breeze is located right next to the Spanish Water in a very quiet neighborhood. As we had plenty of time we didn’t borrow a car. This was no problem as it was only a ten minute walk to get to the next bus station. The nearest beach is Caracasbaai, a nice free-of-charge gravel beach which is a 15 minute walk away. Walking about 15 minutes further you’ll reach Jan Thiel Beach, a very nice sandy beach. The closest supermarket is Vreugdenhil which is about 3 kilometers away and offers a shuttle service for free. Taking the bus you can reach Mambo Beach in about 15 minutes and Willemstaad in approx. 30 minutes.
The studio itself consists of a nice terrace (where you can also park your car), a bedroom with kitchen, and a bathroom. Everything is very well-kept and nicely equipped. The owners of the apartment live right next to the studio and are very friendly and always helpful (thanks a lot, especially for the nice snorkeling spot :)). Another highlight was the ”house-own” hummingbird that visited us nearly every day.
All in all, Studio Ocean Breeze is probably not the perfect place for people looking for a luxury apartment but as it is a clean and quiet apartment in top location with nice and helpful landlords and unbeatable price/performance ratio it was definitely perfect for us. We would always decide on this apartment again and also recommend it to all our friends.
