The Space:
Piyar Tiny Haven sits within the lush embrace of Helga's Nursery, Julatten. A temperate, less humid climate cradled in the mountainous terrain behind Port Douglas. Surrounded by nature that boasts the captivating beauty of the Ashoka tree, known for its vibrant foliage, and the Cannon Ball tree, known for its round fruits that hang like natural ornaments similar to a Christmas tree.
Explore a wealth of natural beauty, hiking through native rainforests, discovering secluded water holes, or reconnecting with nature. Just 15 minutes from the natural wonders of Mossman Gorge and 25 minutes from the coastal charm of Port Douglas, where you can take advantage of Great Barrier Reef adventures. What’s more, arriving there is even easier—simply fly into Cairns and take a scenic one-hour drive north, ascending the Rex Range.
The ideal tiny house is waiting for you, complete with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

Guest Access:

By car:

By public transport: Traveling by private vehicle is recommended for guests as there are no public transport/taxis available
Other Things to Note:
- No check-in after 7 pm
- Mobile reception is good for Telstra
- Pets are not allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- We have a friendly dog on site to greet arriving guests
- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas
- Please note that abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
