Christina Lake is legendary for its warm, clean water and sandy beaches, making it a firm favorite with swimmers, boaters, jet skiers, and those wanting to relax whilst gazing over the clear calm blue waters. The provincial park has beautiful beaches, picnic areas, and shady grove trees for those who like to be outside, but are shaded. the shallow waters stretch out a good distance offering ideal wading for younger children; and for those more adventurous, there are plenty of areas for more energetic swimming. Long summer days and excellent temperatures ensure warm lake waters and a wonderful time for all.
KINGSLEY BEACH
Kingsley Beach is a historical area, at the end of Kingsley Road, just off of Highway #3, this beautiful beach and area continues to bring generations of families to relive their summertime memories and create new ones with their loved ones.
CHRISTINA CREEK
Christina Creek is the perfect beach to enjoy swimming and summer activities. Located along Christina Creek Trail, with shady areas, a great escape on those hot summer days with beautiful scenic views, a wonderful area to hike, take a stroll on the beach, swim, or kayak, and immerse yourself in the beautiful nature around.
BIKING TRAILS
Why not start your biking holiday with the Fife to Cascade trail or one of the 20+ other trails? Immerse yourself in all that the scenery has to offer and feel the sun on your face. Feel the clean pine-scented wind as you look down on the lake and winding river. On the ride back along the pebbled trail you will be exported by the roar of rushing water being funneled and forced through the narrow Cascade Gorge, where it thunders down several powerful waterfalls. This is just one of the many trails to be found while staying at Barefoot Villas.
FISHING
A well-kept secret is the great Bass fishing at Christina Lake. Start as early as May and catch both large and small mouth Bass. The season closes in September, so catch a fish and a bargain and book early. Not just bass, Christina Lake has fishing for everyone and all seasons. Why stop having fun in winter? Come and stay to ice fish, or at other times of the year, for fly fishing, casting, or trolling. Christina Lake and the surrounding area is the place for you! For the best large Rainbow Trout, come in March and April. Test or improve your skills to catch 5-15 pound fish, either by trolling a plug or bucktail fly. May and June are the best months for catching Kokanee, which range up to 1½ pounds and bite on spinners, flies, and live bait (maggots and worms). Other species include Mountain, Prickly Sculpin, Slimy Sculpin, Whitefish, Northern Pikeminnow, and Carp.
