Not a good vacation home experience
The property was in a great location and had some nice areas in the home. However, the property manager needs to take better care of the property if families spend their money and bring their kids to this property. Our family experienced a variety of issues. The first issue was the fact that the host took funds before sending a contract. Making it hard for us to cancel our reservation and get our money back. If you did not cancel within 14 days, you were not entitled to a refund. After the contract was sent, it was a page of prohibited things on property and inside the house, you could not do. I would not have chosen this property if I had been made aware of this before booking a reservation. Secondly, once we checked in, we were told it was a minimum of cleaning supplies and one trash bag. We had to get additional trash bags, dish soap, paper towels, tissue, and cleaning tools for the dishes. We were unable to use some of the plates, pots, and pans because it was roaches throughout the kitchen and different areas around the house. The lights in the kitchen Harry Potter Bedroom and bathroom went out consistently. The problem was not fixed until days later. We stayed from April 11, 2022 to April 15, 2022. This was awful and I didn't like the living conditions that were provided. When I pay to go on vacation, I expect the property to be clean and pest free. I should not have to make complaints instead of being able to enjoy my vacation. I had to go back and forth with the host over things that should have been done before my family and I arrived. The carpets were stained and damage was on several walls. There were no batteries in the remotes for the TVs to work properly. The pool was nasty and I had to clean it before my family and I could use it. It also was a fee of $50 per day to use the SPA to heat the hot tube and you had to give 72 hours' notice. That's just crazy! Why have a built-in hot tube and it's not heated. You make the guess pay for services when they have already rented the property. This was not a good experience and I would not book this property. The host needs to be more transparent. Also, the host did not provide information regarding the amenities in the community and did not offer anything in return for our inconvenience of the roaches and other issues. The hotel located in the community offers a waterpark and the host didn't mention anything. We found out by walking around and talking to another guest. STAY AWAY!
