Das Anwesen verfügt über einen eigenen Bach, eine Brücke und unberührte Bachufer mit klarem, frischem Trinkwasser. Wenn Sie energisch sind, gehen Sie den Bach entlang, durch die Allee und Wege und versuchen Sie den Great Northern Walk oder einen Teil davon. A Real Tonic

This a beautifully peaceful place. If you need somewhere to rest and recharge this is it. A lovely home with everything we needed. It has a really good kitchen and incredibly well stocked pantry. Heaps of living space. The gardens are always worth a stroll. Left here incredibly relaxed.

Beautiful property

We had a lovely stay - it’s beautiful in winter but must be even more so in Spring! The house was thoughtfully stocked with pantry items, fluffy towels and firewood. We made great use of the the lounge fire and outdoor fire pit. It’s a great spot to just relax and chill but close to Glenworth valley if you want to spend a day quad biking or abseiling. Mary was very accommodating of our requests and very quick to respond. Highly recommended!

You wont be dissappinted

We had such a perfect stay for 1 week. We are a family of 4 inc 2 teenagers and our fur baby, who was also welcome! It was the perfect place to relax away from the city. Gorgeous fire inside and fire pit outside. There was plenty of room to kick a ball and explore and little nooks for eveyone to enjoy a book or play a board game. Even with on and off rain we never were bored. Kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook a variety of dishes and you never felt like you were missing any cooking tools. There was a nespresso machine, soda stream, 4 toaster and more we didnt even get to use! Everything was very clean and comfortable. Aesop products throughout. Two full bathrooms, one with bath and another with washer and dryer. Felt like a home away from home. Communication was great. We asked for an extra night's stay half way through and the response was considered and accomodated. We would have obviously understood if it was not possible due to short notice, but the point is that the conversation was open and reasonable. We would highly recommend to anyone. Couples, families...anyone!!Thank you so much to our wonderful hosts!

Location location location !

What a gorgeous gorgeous location - a secluded little piece of paradise only 90 mins from Sydney. The house was very comfortable with all that one could want ranging from a toasty fireplace to a wonderfully stocked pantry. Also some wonderful little touches such as fresh eggs from the property's own chooks, chocolates, and premium coffees and teas. Wonderful autumn getaway

Needed a little break during school holidays with our teens and it was exactly what I envisaged. Remote but still easily accessible charming country home with beautiful gardens and few things to explore on the acreage and its surrounds. Loved the fire pit, exploring the creek and its swimming holes, our cavoodle couldn’t resist a swim in them and the animals and the wildlife near by. We managed to do the Tree Tops as well as horse riding. Mary was lovely to deal with and left us detailed instructions and recommendations for walk.

Still Wonderful

If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. It is a beautiful home that is really well appointed. A lovely kitchen in which it is a pleasure to cook. Perfect place for laying back, reading and strolling the gardens and watching the creek flow. An access point for the Great North Walk is only 20 minutes walk away. My second visit and it won't be my last.

Such a beautiful spot for a truly relaxing weekend

Kingtree Cottage is such a beautiful peaceful spot, with everything we needed for a truly relaxing weekend. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, great big living room, comfortable bed and gorgeous bed linen. The bacon and eggs were a lovely touch which made for a great Sunday morning breakfast taking in the gorgeous views. Our dog had a ball sniffing out all the smells in the garden, once we’d persuaded her she should ignore the chickens. Thank you Mary for being so attentive in making sure we had everything we needed.

Peace and Heavenly Tranquility

My family and I spent 6 nights at this amazing property over the New Year holiday period. If you are looking for a break away from the city’s noise pollution and want to unwind and calm your senses this is definitely the place! The property is set on acres of lush green and manicured gardens with a backdrop of elegant tall trees. There is an abundance of wild life and my children had fun collecting the fresh eggs every morning. My teenage son who is usually glued to his electronic gadgetry was happy to just roam around the property and did not seem to care much about his PS5 that he had brought with him. Mary and Allan were wonderful hosts. The communication was excellent and Mary went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was immaculate and clean with a fully equipped kitchen that we made good use of during our stay and a pantry of essential spices and goodies. Everything was well thought out! We would definitely recommend this property.

A paradise for birdwatchers

We loved staying at King tree cottage in early spring. We discovered that the cottage was a giant bird hide. We were visited by wonga pigeons, satin bowerbirds, a lyrebird, a raucous noisy friar bird, and myriads of smaller birds. In the background, the songs of magpies and bellbirds and the call of whipbirds. The house was warm and comfortable, with many signs of the care taken to make guests feel special. We loved the pretty Italian teacups - and the chocolate, and the fresh eggs from the resident chooks. Pots of fragrant herbs and spring flowers outside where we sat in the sun and watched the birdbath. Snowdrops and daffodils and huge expanses of green lawns. Our hosts took the trouble to leave suggestions for local walks where birds might be seen, as part of their pre-visit communication with us. We were lucky enough to meet Mary and Allan just as we were leaving, so were able to thank them for our stay in the beautiful haven they have created.

Perfection

Hard to know where to start, beautiful home set in the most amazing gardens. Welcoming, comfortable, spotless, divine linen, well equipped kitchen, fabulous fire place in a beautiful lounge area, peaceful environs, gorgeous gardens, abundant bird life, fresh eggs, milk, butter in the fridge, chocolates left for us to enjoy…you get my drift! Mary was the most accommodating host, we visited in a time of severe weather events (aka rain) but we were continuously updated regarding road conditions, before our arrival, during our stay and as we were preparing to leave…roads had deteriorated. Despite this we had the most wonderful stay. The home truly is beautiful and I loved the closeness to the city ( about 2 hours from Sydney) but the feeling of being a million miles away. Will definitely be back, hopefully in better weather. Thanks Mary for all your help and suggestions.😊

Wonderful Property

This is as peaceful as it gets. Set at the bottom of the valley with a creek running through the front of the property this is quite idyllic. Mary was a brilliant host. It is really great to arrive to find anything you might need in the kitchen. Very comfortable and really well organised. Lovely rooms and comfortable beds. It will be easy to return.

Absolutely beautiful!!!!

Mary and Allan were amazing hosts, they really looked after us during our stay. Their home was absolutely beautiful and had everything that we needed and more. The house was the perfect setting for my daughter and her bridesmaids to get ready for the big day. The gardens provided a beautiful backdrop for all the photos. It was such a peaceful retreat, we really did not want to leave!!

If you are looking for a tuck away place to relax and unwind, I highly recommend the Kingtree Cottage. It’s a beauty. Warm, comfortable and inviting surrounded by nature. Highly recommend the property and the it’s owners. Immaculately presented and very clean ! The kids had a blast looking for wombats ( seen 3 ! ) and checking the chickens. The property was well prepared prior to our visit. Mary our host provided seamless communication from initial check in through to check out. We are dedicated to enjoying this property by ensuring it is hygienically safe, comfortable and unpretentious. We can make it fun by having pasta making courses for 8 people available with a chef or making a limited long table lunch under the tree in Summer. We can supply a chef for your barbq, pick up the seafood and meat in Sydney prior and supply all if you require with enough notice.
We have done both and for a separate cost can make these available to you by request.

Set in a tranquil part of a very green valley where the creek runs through moss covered rocks with clear clean water, where birds are protected and encouraged by the garden planting, this property is well cared for, unpretentious and very comfortable. The house has been owned by the same owners for many years and is kept to a fine standard. All aspects are clean, well appointed and comfortable. The garden is managed weekly to ensure there are no surprises. Walking in the area both on the property and on the lane way is a pleasure with fruit trees, plane trees and olive trees all in the area
The owners have a large organic vegetable garden and chickens and are pleased to share both with visitors
The farm is surrounded by other small farms owned by permanent dwellers who live the lifestyle and respect and protect the wildlife. This area is a sanctuary and similar properties are hard to find.
