Dan was born in Fort Lewis, Washington, the third and youngest son of a career army man. Typical of army life, the family lived in several states, including Washington, California, Alaska, Texas and New Jersey. He has many fond memories of Alaska – the wildlife (ask him about the seal in the bathtub!), the breathtaking, rugged terrain and abundance of outdoor activities. Hence his love for Leavenworth! Dan has been in the construction industry for most of his adult life. Traveling for months at a time worldwide, he has a vast knowledge of the lodging industry and has incorporated that experience into the design of the Fox Den. Constantly considering the comfort and experience of our guests, Dan is the creative one of the family and you will see his artistic touches and unique features throughout the Fox Den. An avid hobbyist, Dan enjoys woodworking, miniature trains, RC helicopters, designing and building koi ponds, operating his beloved Snowcat, known as “Snowshoe” and outdoor adventures of all kinds.
Lori was born and raised in Renton, Washington. She has lived most of her life in Washington, but also spent several years in Arizona. The youngest of three girls, Lori enjoyed spending much of her youth with her plethora of animals – dogs, cats, horses, ducks, bunnies, chickens, frogs and whatever else she could catch or save! Her career began in the hospitality industry, where her passion for food and cooking blossomed. She then segued into residential construction project management and development, focusing on interior design and customization. You’ll see her vision and talent in the unique Fox Den Suite themes. Lori’s hobbies include cooking, gardening, music, reading and fostering for PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society) and the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society; bottle baby kittens are her specialty!
