Reviews are always subjective in nature depending upon what a persons' experience is and also what their expectations are. This property could be good for some, but not others. I fell into the later category. Part of the issue was I somehow booked the wrong property on VRBO so when we arrived, it wasn't what I expected. NOT THE OWNERS FAULT. That aside, I'll try to review the property with fresh eyes.
Looking at the listing, it shows much better in the photos. Much of the furnishings have seen better days and need to be updated. The property does have a great ocean view and is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. It's also walking distance to Terra Noble which is a pretty good restaurant, short distance from Ensenada, and far enough away from the fish processing plant. Communication was pretty good with the property manager and the direction were helpful. The property does provide a lot of space and there's a nice deck overlooking the ocean. They also provide cable tv (for those that can't resist) with quite a few channels.
As for the bad, Americano's realize "it's Mexico" and there will infrastructure issues. Our experience here is, you will see the power and lights fluctuate as well as the water when taking a show. There is low pressure and hot water may not be consistent. The big issue for us was the smell which either could have been gas or sewage in the unit. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but only stayed 1 night because of this.
I really hate to write a bad review because I support small business owners but there's a little work to be done here. I also think the ad needs to be updated to reflect the true spirit of the property. Instead of "stylish" say "charming."
