Charming Cabin, beautiful property!
Me and my wife had a very pleasant one night stay. The cabin is charming and has all the amenities you'd want. It is close to the road, but the high wall in the front makes it feel isolated. It was just the 2 of us, but the cabin can comfortably sleep 7 people with the bunks and futon. Plus there is an additional bunk house so it is great for groups too. Ron and Wanda have done up the interiors nicely!
The deck and backyard are equally beautiful! We had a great time there grilling and generally hanging out (we saw quite a few deer right by the deck!). The area is well wooded so it felt comfortable even when the sun was out in the afternoon.
The highlight for us was the fire-ring by the trout stream! Spent hours after dark with a nice toasty campfire, making S'mores, watching the stars and listening to the gurgling stream.
Plenty to do in the area too: hiking, kayaking, rafting. The house is isolated but close enough (2 miles) to town if you wish to go out to eat or run errands.
Finally, Ron and Wanda were great hosts. The instructions were clear, they were flexible with the check-in/check-out time to accommodate for our plans. would highly recommend for a nice stay in a beautiful part of the state!
Thank you. Come again soon!

We had to cut our stay short by a day which was a shame as this was a beautiful cab located just far away enough from town for seclusion but just close enough for dinner and ice cream or errands. The Easter is beautiful and I especially loved sitting on the back deck at night enjoying the stars and the cool night breeze. Wish we could have stayed that extra day!
Thanks for the review Cheyenne. Please come again soon.

A weekend of Bliss
A couple of friends and I spent a lovely weekend up at this cabin. The cabin had a very homey feel. When we first arrived we were worried that we might be cold. But as we turn the heat on we realized that we would be just fine. The overall weekend was great, if you are going to stay here make sure to check out shrewd Fox Brewery. It was close enough to walk about a mile from the cabin. Ron and Wanda were also great host. They got back to any of my concerns within less then 1 hour. I would say that's the only downside of this cabin is that the water has a heavy sulfur smell. But that is to be expected in any cabin in Upstate New York. The river in the back of the property was also quite beautiful.
Thanks Alex. Glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin. Come back again soon.

Cozy Cabin Get Away Along a Stream-Love it! We Really Enjoyed Our Stay :) Thank you!
We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. There are 5 of us and there was plenty of room. The living room is warm and inviting. It has a huge stone fireplace that we used almost the whole time. One of the main things we were looking for in our winter getaway. There are two couches, and two chairs in the living room, so plenty of room to sit around the coffee table. The kids loved the bunk beds that are built into the walls. The top two are very high, so only would recommend for older people, but there is one rail under the futon to use. They also enjoyed sleeping on the futon another night. It was very comfortable. Our bedroom was very cozy. We had a comfortable queen size bed and absolutely love the windows that span two of the walls. You feel like you are outside. The cabin is close to the road, but there is a tall wall that divides it from the road, so we didn't really notice that we were so close. Very quiet area. Didn't notice any of the neighbors around. It was cold and rainy outside, so most of the time we hid inside, but we did throw on some snow clothes and head out to check out the property and the stream. Very pretty and peaceful. Would really enjoy during the warmer weather. Some things we noticed that could use improvement, but didn't really detract too much from our trip: the refrigerator was so full of condiments left from other guests that I had trouble fitting all of my cooler full of food in it that I brought and some of it was kind of dirty and I like my frig clean when other people have used it, the deck stairs were not very sturdy, the grill seemed to be missing the grill part to cook the meat on, table chair was popping apart, the living room table is falling apart. Something that did affect us was taking showers and having warm water to wash hands in and dishes was the inducer motor was broken on the hot water heater, so we didn't have hot water the entire time. The service man didn't work on weekends. Out in the middle of nowhere. And Ron was very sorry about it and tried to help figure out how to get it working. They gave us a $50 refund for this. We also noticed the light bulbs didn't work outside, so it was really dark outside at night. Instructions they sent to us to get in and close up were clear. The electricity was off when we got there, so it was very dark trying to get down in basement to turn everything on. We had to make sure we turned heat on every 4 hours because therm drops to 45. Not great for the baby.
