The space
This lakefront property has been recently remodeled and features an open concept kitchen that is fully equipped with all necessary amenities. On the main level are the kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and a full bath. Upstairs includes a half bath and another bedroom furnished with a queen bed, one twin bed, and a futon. Additionally, there is a secondary living area upstairs with a sofa sleeper, hammock swing, sit-down arcade, and a large screen TV equipped with DVDs and a Wii gaming console, ideal for children to unwind after a busy day at the lake.
Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious deck with a dining table overlooking the private cove. The property includes a 10-foot water trampoline, lily pad, and a private dock during summer months. Guests are encouraged to bring their own boat or rent one from Point Marina, which is approximately a five-minute boat ride away. Please note that Douglas Lake's water levels fluctuate; the cove will be low from Labor Day until May. However, Rimmer Creek feeds into the cove, providing access to fishing and a nearby waterfall. (Pictures of the lake and river when low are last in the photo section.)
For guest convenience, the property offers fishing poles, one stand-up paddle board, two kayaks, various water toys, life jackets, and a cooler. In the evenings, relax around the fire pit while making s’mores or discussing the day's adventures, such as the biggest catch or who achieved the highest jump on the wakeboard. An outdoor shower is available (in the spring, summer and fall) for rinsing off after a day of swimming or sunbathing on the dock.
The house is conveniently located in Dandridge, placing guests just minutes away from local grocery stores and bait shops. Dollywood and Pigeon Forge is just 45 minutes away, so you are close to all the attractions. Please note that due to the fluctuating water levels at Douglas Lake, there is no water at the dock from September to Late April sometimes early May. However, a river flows into the lake on the property, situated just 100 feet from the dock. By booking this house you and all guests agree to sign a waiver due to the property being a lakefront property.
