About this space
Center of Real Mexico City, ( called "el Centro") halfway between the Zocalo and the Zona Rosa (20 min walk to each) Metro and Metrobus are 4 mins walk away. 2 double beds 2 singles. Lively neighborhood near Artesanias and Plaza de Danza. The apartment is on the ground floor, which we have appreciated after long walks exploring the city. Señora Gloria lives in the same building so help with anything is nearby.
The space
The apartment is ground floor, decorated in 19th century themes and art with modern touches. The bathroom has over 2000 ceramic tiles. From here it is 1 minute walk to Artesanias Ciudadela, the biggest craft market in the city, as well as the Plaza de la Danza (parque Ciudadela) where you can learn to dance salsa cumbia and even ancient aztec dances for free on the weekends. Palacio Bellas Artes is 10 minutes walk away. The neighborhood is safe: there are families with children out late at night (hence the only difficulty for 5th and 6th guests in the double bed in the front room, lots of happy conversation outside) The back rooms are quieter, with some noise of the buiding's water pump behind the back room where there is a double bed- In the middle room which is the quietest (with foam to keep out the noise of the courtyard door). there are 2 singles. There is a washing machine and drying rack for your clothes.
I am happy to share all I know about the city with guests before their arrival. Breakfast at Cafe Havana where Castro planned his Revoluciòn is only 10 min walk away. I know the weekend antique markets, the best chocolate and churros in the city and will help you plan your stay before you arrive.
