Love and “hate” relationship
I want to start off with the love on this house. The dock was AMAZING! The bedroom & bathroom layout worked really well. I do wish they had one room with twin beds for the boys. The beach access was right across the street but the street is 45 MPH so cars fly down it without stopping for people to cross. The kitchen was nice and had almost everything you needed except a second refrigerator. Now here is the “hate”, we had a leak coming from the main bathroom through to the downstairs shower light. The owner came and fixed it but found out it was toilet water. As we were leaving, we discussed rat droppings on our suitcases in the main floor primary bedroom closet so that was disturbing. I know Topsail has rat issues but hoped they would stay outside! We also couldn’t use the hot tub until 5+ days into the vacation because the heat pump was broken. Vacasa missed two pillow cases in every room and only provided one bath towel per person. Other suggestions would be to have extra blankets and more hooks to hang wet items. The doors will need to be replaced soon due to sticking but that’s the beach life. I will end with love… The elevator was perfect for our elderly parents and unloading/loading the cars. The owner’s son was very responsive and helpful to fix the leak.
