The Space:
-KITCHEN & DINING-
The kitchen is designed for those who love to cook and entertain. It has high-end appliances, a large island with seating, and all the necessary appliances for any meal including a gas stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. In addition, there is a full assortment of appliances for the coffee lover on your trip. You can also enjoy a drink on the al fresco dining patio, accessible from the kitchen through a sliding door, or sit down to a formal meal at the dining table which seats six and has a stunning light fixture.

-LIVING AREA-
The living room is a relaxing and inviting space, perfect for escaping the Mojave desert weather. With its air conditioning, custom furnishings, designer rugs and large windows, it's easy to sit back and unwind in this plush corner of the world. You can watch TV, read a book, play board games, or just enjoy a casual conversation with your friends. As the evening gets cooler, you can warm up by the fireplace. Despite the secluded feel of the home, Blazing Star Estate is only a short drive from the bustling and off-beat Joshua Tree Village, which has a variety of unique shops, popular restaurants, and lively bars.

-OFFICE- is the location our desk, printer and TV. Used mainly for guests who are need a quiet space to work in during the day, the office also is the location of the two additional sleeping area. The custom built in seating is the size of two (2) twin beds. If you require additional sleeping areas outside of the 3 king bedrooms, then our will use the office area as overflow sleeping for two additional guests.

-OUTDOOR AREAS-
Blazing Star Estate has plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy. The front of the house has an outdoor seating area with stunning views of the Craggy Mountains within the National Park. You can also relax in the brand new hot tub. The back of the property has patios that are surrounded by towering boulders, creating a sense of connection with the natural environment. A newly added Bocce Ball courts in our back yard has been a hit with our guests. On cool nights, you can sit by the propane fire feature and feel the warmth.
Important Things to Note:
- Commercial Use of Space (Events & Photoshoots): This is not permitted without prior approval and may also require permits and additional fees. Please reach out before booking to discuss any potential commercial use of this space.

- Pets: Must have prior approval. Additional fees may apply.

- Road Conditions: Please note, Joshua Tree and Pioneertown are about as close to the wilderness as we get here in California. Many of the roads in these communities are dirt and will require you to take it very slow, especially after inclement weather.

- Cell Service: You may not be surprised to hear that cell reception and quality may be limited in the high desert, especially in the more remote areas of Pioneertown, Joshua Tree, and Pipes Canyon. Fear not, Blazing Star Estate is outfitted with the latest generation technology from Starlink satellite, which offers lightning-fast upload and download speeds (150-250 Mbps). Be sure to enable wifi calling on your phone, or consider downloading a VOIP program.

- Groceries: Your closest grocery stores will be back in Yucca Valley, so please show up prepared! It will not be a quick trip to grab that something you forgot.

- Mother Nature: The charm and beauty of Joshua Tree also means you may get up and personal with mother nature during your stay with us. While interactions with snakes and other critters are rare, it is important to be mindful and to stay on paths whenever possible.

- Outdoor showers may be disabled for the cold months to prevent freezing and damage to water lines.
- Weekly hot tub and pool service performed on Monday by our licensed pool contractor. Our pool tech will need to access the exterior backyard only and will do their best to not disturb guests.

Guest Access:
It's pretty simple, our home is yours during your stay! This five-acre property includes parking on-site in a covered carport, a gas BBQ grill, an outdoor shower, an outdoor hot tub, cowboy pool, bocce ball court, other games, and all the sun and stars you can soak up.

The Neighborhood:
The Joshua Tree, Panorama Heights neighborhood is highly coveted due to its proximity to Joshua Tree National Park and its expansive views of the Mojave Desert. While it feels secluded, it is just a short drive from the shops and restaurants in Joshua Tree Village and Yucca Valley. When you're ready for an outdoor excursion, the West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park is a quick 5-minute drive away, but with the edge of the park a mere 400 foot walk out your front door, sunrise yoga, midday coffee breaks or after dinner walks with the family into the park are what sets Blazing Star Estate apart.

-Palm Springs (55 min drive) You know it, you'll love it. Stomping ground of old Hollywood and now the playground for today's rich and famous. Check out the aerial tram while you're there.

Getting Around:
While a car is necessary to get around the high desert, four-wheel drive is not usually required. However, it's important to note that the dirt roads in this area can have ruts, especially after it rains. Please drive slowly to navigate these conditions safely.

We use smart home technology to improve your experience. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels throughout the property and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. NoiseAware is 100% privacy compliant and is required on this property. Do not tamper, unplug or remove the Noiseaware decibel monitoring devices. Doing so may result in a $500 fee and removal from the rental property. If you have any questions, please ask. We are committed to your comfort so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.

Exterior Cameras: We have externally mounted security cameras to monitor the exterior of our home only. The exterior cameras monitors the front door and driveways of the property. There is a camera mounted in the detached Housekeeper's Closet where we house our washer/dry and back stocks of our guest supplies. These external security cameras will actively record the driveways and the exterior of the front door when motion is detected (audio and video). We do not have any interior cameras or exterior cameras in the backyard guest use area. The backyard and sides of the house areas remain private and have no cameras for your comfort and security. Any attempt at disabling, redirecting or obscuring the cameras is prohibited and will result in full forfeiture of the security deposit and may, at the owner’s discretion, result in the guest being evicted without refund of outstanding nights’ payment.

Pool Service: a licensed pool contractor will access the exterior (backyard) on Monday's to perform weekly pool and hot tub service. Our pool tech will NOT need access to any interior areas and will do his best to not disrupt guests.

Designated Sleeping Areas: Three (3) bedroom with 3 king beds. One (1) Office with built in seating the approximate size of two twin bed mattresses.

Note: A guest screening via our online guest portal as well as a signed rental agreement is required for all of our short-term rental reservations.

Blazing Star Rental
Many people would enjoy this rental. The host, house, location, scenery, and amenities were great. I would've liked it more, if the other residents weren't so close to the property. The Vrbo site describes the rental on 5 acres and the pictures of the property make it seem more remote than it actually is. I also would've preferred a later check-out. The site states that when you book, late check-outs are available upon request, but it doesn't really work that way. The host will only provide a late check-out the day before you leave as long as noone else has rented the property. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful house
Maybe the best rental house we’ve ever stayed in! Great kitchen for cooking, beautiful back yard for looking at the night sky, sunrises and sunsets. Great house — pictures are accurate. Communication with property manager was super easy. Great location to get to different entrances of the park. Would love to stay here again!
