Zen Lodge Big Bear-the only outdoor bathtub in BB

Our thought was to create a space that lets you get away from life stresses to reconnect and recharge.

The goal of a first impression is to do just that – impress. At the Zen Lodge Big Bear, you want to show guests that your stay at your will be not only easy, but refreshingly pleasant.

Sit in the sunshine on the back deck in the afternoon, soaking up the sun through the treetops. Come nightfall, the patio string lights add that element of hygee before turning them off to stare at the stars in the mountain sky above you (another benefit of Zen Lodge you can view all the stars at night!!)

What is better than taking a bath? Taking a bath outside in what feels like being in the middle of a forest, in Big Bear. And the Zen Lodge has one goal in mind: finding Nirvana. Which won’t be too hard with all the luxurious amenities while keeping the rustic charm and there are many small touches to ensure tranquility every step of the way during your stay.

The large hand hammered copper bathtub on the back deck makes for a relaxing way to unwind each night under the millions of stars visible in the night sky.

The kitchen even comes stocked with coffee and more than just basic cooking supplies like lots of different spices in the spice rack. Sometimes Airbnb hosts forget these daily basics that have a huge impact on the guests, you'll be happy Zen Lodge has this covered.

You have access to the whole house except couple small owners closets.

If you haven't stayed in upper moonridge your are in for a treat. Zen Lodge offers guests a unique opportunity to experience nature therapy in what feels like you are in the middle of a forest. This is a really quiet neighborhood where you will see many locals walking their dogs and taking in that fresh mountain air.

Please be aware that during winter months, chains and 4x4s are often required for Big Bear and especially the upper Moonridge area. During the snow months, the mountain is not safe to drive without them and the city does enforce these requirements. If you have any questions, feel free to message us.

No pets allowed on the beds or furniture. We have had a couple issues with not so good pet owners and are close to not allowing pets. Please make sure your pet does not damage our place and should something happen please notify us so it can be resolved. There is $150 pet fee per pet which must be paid prior to check in. Please pick up your pets waste, should the cleaners have to do it you will be charged $25 that they bill us.

You must take all your trash with you. Don't worry it's SUPER easy as the place to drop it off is right off Moonridge and Big Bear Highway - you drive Moonridge through Big Bear Highway and it then turns into Garstin. You drive thru and throw the trash in the green dumpster without having to get out of your car. The address where you take the trash is 41974 Garstin Dr if you'd like to google it. Our house cleaners charge us $25 per bag of trash you leave, which we will in turn charge you. Take it it's easy breezy - I promise!

Also, put all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on before you leave. NO need to make sure the dishwasher is empty, just load it and start it - we will unload it and put them away. If you forget our cleaners charge us $25 to wash the dishes by hand which we will in turn charge you - the dishes are probably already in the dishwasher - please don't forget to start it :-)

Should you or your guests accidentally break a glass or dinnerware you will be charged back in order to replace the item broken. The cleaners count each item before cleaning and notify us of any items missing. Our wine glasses are fragile and must be washed by hand and replaced in the cabinet prior to departure. Should any stemware get broken you will be charged to replace the item.

Two robes are provided. Should you accidently take a robe you will be charged to replace the robe from Parachute.

The outdoor bathtub has water running to it during summer, spring and most of fall. It does not have running water during early fall & winter months as the pipes would freeze and bust. The exact date varies from year to year but once the temperture gets in the high 30's we turn it off for the season.
