Unique little property

Unique property, however it was a super steep driveway and the layout was a little misleading on how it was explained! However, we enjoyed our short stay there and would stay again!

Family event

We had 7 guests for a family get together. It was nice, plenty of room, games to play, movies, and a hot tub available. Kitchen had lots of space and a large table for everyone to sit around and enjoy a meal. Good showers and very comfortable beds. Communication with the host was excellent! He is attentive and gives suggestions of things to do in the area and good places to eat. He is quick to respond if you need anything and is helpful. Overall good stay, enjoyed our time and would stay again.

Love it!!!

We love our stay in this cabin ❤️ very clean and big!! Everyone enjoyed the nature view. Beds were very big and comfy and we loved the table set up. The hot tub was very clean although we did t have time to enjoy it but maybe netx time we come back we will !!! This definitely will be a repeat rental for our family.

Would stay again

The property was clean and well maintained. John was very helpful and communicated with us during our stay. He gave suggestions to do. Keeping in mind that it is a mountain cabin, the driveway is at a13% grade. And the cabin is literally on the side of a mountain. The hot tub was nice and there was plenty of space for our pups to run. We would definately stay there again!

Great little Christmas getaway

We needed a place where we could get together for our family Christmas. We had 6 adults and 2 kids, ages 7 and 11. It's not a huge space and it is pretty rustic, but everything was very clean and we had a great time. We weren't looking for anything super fancy, just a nice cozy place that we could afford and that allowed a dog, so we could all get together for the week of Christmas. The driveway held 3 vehicles and is steep backing down, but that is normal in the mountains and should be expected. It is conveniently located very close to the main road through Townsend but it's very quiet at the cabin. Host had great communication and was very helpful. There were enough supplies and the kitchen was stocked well enough with cookware for me to cook a big Christmas dinner with no issues. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect for middle aged and younger

We had a difficult time with all the stairs. We questioned the accessiblity for seniors.. More worn, older, or rustic than description. A few large bugs. Outside doors need some attention. Knobs coming off. Driveway was steep and our vehicles barely fit to exit/enter vehicles. Grandson enjoyed the game room. Great for younger guess. Needs note: Not for seniors or borderline handicap visitors.Now that we are familiar and know what to expect we would return. bugs.

Close to National Park but Not Quiet

We struggled to find this space comfortable for our party of 8 that included kids and adults. It was close to the national park and many necessities, which is why we sought this location. The utilities and TV/internet work great, but the floors are somewhat uneven and the walls are not well insulated so the temperature fluctuates easily on the property. Our biggest issues were the neighborhood and the driveway. Dogs barked throughout the night across the street, this was very easy to hear in the front bedrooms, and the driveway was not comfortable for 2 cars. The second car is at a steep angle and loading/unloading is difficult for the second car. The owner was almost too communicative, and did refund us for one night, but then offered me more money to NOT leave a review which is not OK with me. He claimed that the dog barking was a new issue but I found that very hard to believe.

Pro: Spacious Guest Netflix account (con - no way to hook up a cabled DVD player to the TV as it is mounted high on the wall) Equipped kitchen Wonderful proximity to town and National Park entrance Cons: Bugs inside house despite not leaving door ajar Vinyl hot tub cover made removal difficult after a rain. Hot tub open to road Expectation to take trash out despite cleaning services. Steep driveway This was a decent place to stay for a weekend - the draw being an individual home. Be aware the driveway is steep, as are the steps. As it is a one-way road, backing down the driveway is the only option.

Nice stay

Nice cabin, close to town & GSMNP Cades Cove. We had an issue with the hot tub breaker & the Host communicated quickly & sent an electrician right out. He was very pleasant & responded quickly to any ququestions we had.
