The space
Thank you for choosing the Cozy Retreat at Canyon Lake. It’s all in the name. This small home is warm, inviting, cozy, and comfortable!! Come relax, spend time with friends and/or family, and just enjoy the serene atmosphere at the lake. Make a cup of coffee and sit outside under the gable while watching beautiful deer walk through the backyard. Lounge in the swimming pool, or unwind in the huge hot tub. Enjoy the warmth from one of three fire pits (two propane and one wood burning). Cook or bake your favorite meals or goodies in the fully stocked (utensils) kitchen, or bbq outside on the grills (both charcoal and propane). Play board games on the large coffee table, or play ping pong or cornhole in the backyard. Sip on a glass of wine or drink your favorite cocktails, while listening to music from the smart home music system. Watch a movie on the enormous 90 inch Television with sound bar. Enjoy a day on the shores of the lake using provided chairs, awning, and small, portable bbq pit and table. Relax in a hammock. You’re going to have the best time!!

The lake is only 1.5 miles away. Drive back down Rotherman in the direction you drove in. Turn left at Live Oak and another left on Hancock. You will run into the lake at the end of Hancock.

The grocery store, Brooks Brothers, is just a few miles down the road on 306. There are also several restaurants, bars, shops, and gas stations in the area, and within just a few miles.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire home excluding the closet in the master bedroom.
Other things to note
High speed internet and Wi-Fi are provided. The Wi-Fi name is cozyretreat and the password is canyonlake. All lowercase without spaces.

House rules:

This home is owned by an individual. Not a company/corporation. So please treat the home kindly. I really enjoy sharing the home with others to experience the beauty and peace of the area.

The following rules are in place for the consideration of the homeowner and for the consideration of guests following your stay. These rules are enforced and are the result of past guest’s behaviors.

Absolutely, without exception, no smoking inside the home. If there is any evidence of smoking, you will be charged $1,000. This includes all forms of smoking. No cigarettes. No Marijuana. No Hookah. No Pipes. No Vaping. If Me or my cleaners can smell it, you will be charged. Smoking is allowed outside. However, if we have to clean up cigarette butts, you will be charged an extra cleaning fee

You must add all guests. There is an extra charge for guests 5 and 6. The listing is for 6 people maximum. No extra guests or visitors!! No Parties. Or events. This is a retreat home for relaxation, not partying.

*PETS* You must add your pets on the same section as adding the number of guests. There is a $100 pet fee PER pet. This fee is not a cleaning fee. You MUST keep your pets off of the furniture, and don’t allow your pets to chew on anything here. Pets are NOT allowed in bedrooms unless kenneled. If you are the type of person to sleep with your pet, this is not the home for you. Pet hair clean up is NOT included in our cleaning fee. You will be charged $100 extra if we have to spend time cleaning ANY pet hair. If we find evidence of there being pets in the bedrooms, you will be charged an additional $500. There is a vacuum with pet hair attachment for you to clean pet hair. I love animals but they cause the most damage, and cause the biggest time account cleaning after them, which is not fair to the cleaners or next guest. Do not leave your pet unattended at any time. Pets must be kenneled if left in the home while you are not present. This includes when everyone is home, but outside. Pets are NOT allowed in the swimming pool. There is a huge lake right down the street if you’d like somewhere for your pet to swim. Pick up dog poop from the yard and dispose. Poop bags are provided. Wipe your pets paws if they are muddy before letting them in the house. Pets are limited to 20 lbs each. I’ve heard from so many people about how their pet is so well behaved, and would never damage a thing, or that their pet doesn’t shed hair. Those people have ruined it for everyone else. Sorry.

Please avoid eating and drinking outside of kitchen and dining area. Being careless with this is how accidents and stains happen. Please be mindful.

Do not flush wipes or feminine products. This house is on a septic system and flushing those items will damage the system. Do not put food down the disposal either. Throw everything in the trash.

Cleaning of the grills is not included in the cleaning fee. If grills are not cleaned after use, a $25 fee will be accessed per grill.

If towels or linens are stained, you will be charged for their replacement costs.

Nothing in the home is to be taken home. Please don't "accidently" take anything with you. You will be charged replacement costs. Everything is inventoried.

Quiet hours are enforced. Please be mindful that I have neighbors that live there full time. Loud music will not be tolerated during quiet hours.

Do not move or rearrange furniture.

Many times there is only a 5 hour window between guests checking out and new guests arriving, so check in and check out hours need to be abided by. There will be flexibility to this if there aren't other guests coming in or leaving.

You must read and agree to house rules. You are responsible for letting all guests know what the rules are. There are instructions for different things in the house manual.
