Adventure awaits at this coastal home full of personality, perfect for a small family or couples' retreat. Conveniently located, it's only a short distance to the beach for fun in the sun and surf. Tour the area and discover local attractions like Lost Treasure Golf, Outer Banks Kayak Adventures, Jockey's Ridge State Park, and H20 Waterpark, all within a 12-mile radius. Fantastic boutique shopping and dining are scattered throughout the area as well.

Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior and a beachy vibe throughout the well-appointed living area. Relax and make yourself at home by resting on the plush furniture, streaming a movie marathon on the large TV, or serving brunch on the covered deck. Prepare grand meals and beach picnic snacks in the open-concept kitchen, equipped with updated appliances and a breakfast bar. Either bedrooms is comfortable and outfitted with luxe linens for a wonderful night's rest from the day's adventures. Outside, you'll enjoy a large backyard with a firepit to tell stories around and stargaze.

Great stay for Spring Break with my daughter

House was small but comfortable and great for just my daughter and I. Location of home and neighborhood was very nice. 5 minute walk to the sound for sunsets was really nice. Short 2 min drive to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. Vacasa manages the property, I usually prefer VRBO to avoid those kind of companies but this was a great experience, they were very easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

Could be better

The location wasn't bad but I wouldn't risk my life trying to cross the highway to walk to the beach. Property needs better upkeep. Outdoor furniture looked newer but wasn't ready for guests. General disarray and Cobwebs and spiders abound. Inside needs updating badly. Something smelled and was noticeable as soon as the door was open. Property manager was responsive and sent a cleaning crew next day but despite their hard work they couldn't get rid of the smell. Need more pots and pans. Couch and chairs were not in great condition. Appliances were newer and worked well. Bathroom was clean and decent. Everything else should be updated.

Great location!!

Sunny daze is a great location. Easy to drive over to the beach or walk by the sound. Close to wright brothers memorial and not too far from the sand dunes. Overall we liked the place just wished the outdoor shower worked.

Quaint, cozy beach spot

Sunny Daze is a pleasant, simple cottage that met our needs during our 4-night stay in Outer Banks. It’s very conveniently located for dining, shopping, bike path and beach access. The beds are comfortable and the shower is nice and hot!Something to keep in mind when booking Sunny Daze is that it’s pretty bare bones in terms of amenities, which we knew going in. There were plenty of clean towels and blankets, but there’s hardly any kitchenware, so be prepared if you plan to cook. The only two issues we had during our stay:1) When we arrived the interior of the cabin was quite clean, but the outdoor area and furniture was very dirty and unusable. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time and was covered in pollen, leaves, dirt, etc. and my husband spent about 45 minutes cleaning it to make it usable. 2) 3 nights into our stay we returned to the cabin from being out to find someone had entered the cabin and left a new shower curtain liner on the counter. We had previously been without one. We were bothered by the fact that no one reached out to us to let us know they would be coming by or entering the property.

Not a good experience

When we showed up it looked as though the outside furniture hadn't been used in about a year. cobwebs, spiders and general disarray to the point we couldn't use it. It was almost dark when we got there because we were at the beach all day and stopped for groceries on the way. When we opened the door we were greeted with a smell I have a difficult time describing but it wasn't pleasant. Pretty sure it was the couch and chairs that should probably be thrown out. Inside was dark even when all the lights were on. The windows didn't open so we couldn't air it out and we were stuck with the smell for days. My wife did contact the property manager who was responsive and sent a cleaning crew the next day. They were great people but even there hard work couldn't get rid of the odor. The AC stopped working at one point and it was close to 80m deg in the house. I opened the door on the side of the house to see if the outside unit was on and almost walked into a massive spider that had his web right in the doorway. AC kicked back on a short time later and worked the rest of the time there. One bed was comfortable and the other was old. We bought a low country boil package from the Lion King and had to cook it a little bit at a time as there was only a medium size pot. Bought some steaks and porkchops too but there was no grill so we pan fried everything. Maybe I should have read a little more so that may be my fault. Need to cross a highway to get to beach so no short walk.

Minimal Effort - Minimal Results

Property seems to be 70's - owners want to create an atmosphere of 'nothing special' 'bare minimum' - throw a surfboard in the living room - won't be staying here again - does that nail it ? Owners you accomplished your mission: Minimal effort - Minimal Results. And bottom line from the customer: WON'T BE STAYING HERE EVER AGAIN. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
