In a backdrop that is all Montana, we invite you to explore the place where our family comes to be together. Nestled in the western foothills of the Bridger Mountains, just 20 minutes from Bozeman, Montana, Limestone Creek Ranch is everything you ever wanted in an intimate getaway.
Design:
At Limestone Creek Ranch, we designed the two main buildings to walk the line between modern and rustic. both the Gathering Lodge and Creek Cabin feature hand-hewn timbers and floor-to-ceiling windows. The nucleus of the Gathering lodge was designed to give the feel of an old trapper’s cabin, complete with wood fireplace. From there, the west and east wings branch off, eliciting airy and spacious surprises at every turn.
Gathering Lodge:
Designed to create memories that last a lifetime, the 7,900 ft2 Gathering Lodge was designed to bring your tribe together. Natural light floods the open floor plan and encourages conversation. Fix a drink at the bar, and then retreat to the patio, which features a retractable, nine-foot tall wall of windows and wood fireplace. The chef’s kitchen has more than you’ll need to feed a hungry crew. On the main wing, you’ll find two bedrooms each with ensuite and king beds. The main gathering space is connected to more sleeping quarters by a glass breezeway. Along the way, you’ll pass through the trapper’s cabin that doubles as a quiet reading nook, complemented by another wood fireplace. You’ll find a play space for old and young alike with foosball, air hockey and arcade games, along with a large flat screen TV. Two separate bunk rooms feature their own spacious bathroom, four bunks and two lofts in each room. The Lodge will comfortably sleep 16.
Creek Cabin:
Just a stone’s throw and across the creek from the Gathering Lodge, the 3,200 ft2 Creek Cabin is where you come for a little more quiet time. It’s where, in the morning, you sit on the patio and watch as the sun slowly inches over Ross Peak. You can hear the rumblings and voices over at the Gathering Lodge, but you’re not quite done with your coffee. The Creek Cabin features a full-kitchen, dining area, living space and four bedrooms, each with ensuite.
Outdoor Space:
Upon arriving, one of the first things you will notice is the beauty of silence. As you decompress, you won’t notice more than the sound of the flowing waters of the creek. Eventually, you’ll hear the air as it moves through the wings of a red-tailed hawk, or the unmistakable bugle of a bull elk in the aspen. Once the day blossoms, you’ll hear the sounds of laughter and splashing in the lower pond. You’ll hear plans being made to hike up nearby Corbly Gulch, or a trip into Yellowstone National Park. And if you choose to go nowhere, our 120-acre property has plenty to explore—from the trout ponds with rainbow and cutthroat trout to a wild turkey that is far from shy. Because you are far from city lights, the night sky comes alive, and there is nothing better than to sit in the grass and watch stars streak across.
