My worst VRBO experience
I was nervous when I was w/in the 24 hr window and had not heard from the owner. I reached out to ask for check in instructions. I was told I'd get them later that day which I did. We arrived at the house late that night. Typically homes have a welcome/house rules book. There was nothing. There was a sign with the Wifi code but didn't tell you which network. So we had to guess & keep trying the password until it worked. The dishwasher was full of dishes. There was cat/dog hair in the living room & master suite bathroom. There was also a dirty washcloth left in that same bathroom. The instructions received said to park in the garage. However, there was no garage door opener other than the manual one attached to the house. So any time we had to leave, you had to pull out of the garage, go back in the house, manually shut the garage, then go out thru the back for to get to your car. Very inconvenient. Duting the 2 night stay, we were locked out of the house. I attempted to contact the owner via the app and there was no response. I called VRBO customer service & they were unable to reach the owner. Customer service gave me the owner's number so I could keep attempting to try to reach the owner. I finally received a call nack from the owner who said "we've been having trouble with that lock." We were able to get in once I was told where the spare key was. To rent your property when there is a known problem is irresponsible. I would not recommend this location.
