Slow down! Enjoy your morning coffee watching the sunrise over the Chesapeake bay, catch a playful dolphin pod. Cottage is perfect for couples or family. Surrounded by open water & woods home to bald eagles, ospreys this is a perfect getaway from crazy schedules and timelines. Enjoy the laid back pace, go antiquing visit quaint towns. The cottage has all the modern amenities. End the day with a glass of wine and catch the sunset. Cottage is a hidden gem to witness both sunsets & Sunrises
The space
Guests will love the layout of the cottage, big windows to enjoy water views, 3 queen bedrooms, one bedroom with twin beds and pull out daybed for two provide ample room for a family. Yoga space with blocks, mats and amazing view. Dock to the river, perfect for fishing and crabbing OR enjoy peaceful evenings on comfortable Adirondack chairs, fire pit for magical twilight hour. Community provides boat launch ramp, picnic pavilion, beach access and fishing pier.
There is a dedicated yoga space, cushions, mats and yoga blocks have been provided.
Cottage is located on what is referred to "the island" in the community as we are surrounded by water. Right across the river is the state of Maryland and to the east is the Chesapeake Bay.

There are two side decks that provide ample space to enjoy meals and family time. There is BBQ on one side to make the most of your summer time.
4 solo kayaks and one tandem Kayak is available for guests to use, the pier has many levels for you to use and ladders provide access to swimming in the river. Life jackets are provided as well.
If you love the water bring your floating toys and ropes, tie them to the pier and enjoy lazing on the rivah.
THERE ARE NO LIFEGUARDS ALL WATER ACTIVITIES ARE AT YOUR OWN RISK

If you have a boat, you may bring it, there is a community launch area, a reasonable size boat can be accomodated in the parking place (it is sufficient for 4 cars only) There are marinas nearby, list of Marinas are provided in the guidebook! Crabbing and Fishing are a religion here <3

Please check weather before travelling. We have provided a few games and access to Netflix and disney plus for a rainy day.

Other things to note
The cottage is on an "island" The last house on this stretch of road has its own cove and protected beach, that is private property. Guests are welcome to use community amenities including the community beach. If you are travelling from a metropolitan area, please know you are travelling to rural America, where the pace is much slower. Nearest food lion is in Heathsville about 20 minutes away!
Kayaking is best during high tide.
