Big Bear Lake Central
Big Bear Lake Central is the heart of Big Bear. This area reaches from Metcalf Bay to Meadow Park and includes the Performing Arts Center, Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain, The Village, Veterans Park, Holloway’s Marina, Big Bear Marina, Pine Knot Landing and Swim Beach. Restaurants, lodging, entertainment and some of the best hiking trails make this area a coveted spot to both live and stay in a vacation rental in Big Bear Lake, especially during the summer months. Homes range from small to large, rustic to modern and many offer lake views, private dock access or butt up to the national forest
Free Big Bear Trolley: Mountain Transit's Free Big Bear Trolley service offers convenient and reliable transportation for both locals and visitors to help eliminate traffic congestion and car pollution in the City and greater Valley.
Traffic and illegal parking are a significant issue for Big Bear during the busy winter and summer seasons. We encourage everyone to leave their vehicles at their homes or rentals and hop on the Free Big Bear Trolley to navigate the town.
Three new routes have been specially designed to make accessing restaurants, grocery stores, retail shops, ski resorts, snow play areas, parks and work easy and efficient.
Download the Trolley App and use the live tracker to see when the next trolley is headed to your stop.
