As a curator of fabulous vacation rental properties along Florida's Gulf Coast, it was Pinkie Flamingo's duty to check out each one personally. “It's tough job…but someone has to do it!” she smiled. As she turned into Prominence North, she already knew she had another fabulous guest nest to add to her collection. The sought-after neighborhood of Prominence was super popular due its crowd-pleasing amenities, location and style.

Pinkie loved the energy of this area of the winding coastal highway 30A….emanating from a destination in itself known affectionately as The Big Chill. Recently rebranded (formerly The Hub), this spectacular gathering spot features a collection of shops, restaurants and a live performance venue ...right in the beach community of Prominence! With a myriad of restaurants and cuisines to choose from, everyone in your entourage will sure to be happy.

Located on the north side of the community, Barefoot Bungalow stands ready to host your party of 12 and 1 well-behaved, housebroken dog. It's the perfect spot to make some perfect vacation memories. With a fully-stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a garage, this 2-story townhome can be yours for a minimum of 4 nights or more. Today Pinkie happened to be making the rounds with her favorite furry sidekick…an all-white Husky named Pinot Grigio. “She was whining when she was born and unusually solid white in color so I named her after a white wine.” Pinot was quite the showstopper with gorgeous pale blue eyes and a truly blonde personality. Together they visited new properties…pet-friendly ones of course!

Pinkie's guests at Barefoot Bungalow will enjoy full resort access to the community's outstanding amenities including the smaller pool on the south side is an added bonus. Nestled between the popular Seacrest/Rosemary/Alys communities to the East and Watersound/Seagrove to the West, fabulous local shopping and dining is all just a bike or golf cart ride away.

Best way to end summer

This was one of the best vacations my family has had. The location and home were both amazing. Snuggled between Destin and PCB, this cozy rental was exactly what we expected and more. Our group frequented the Big Chill multiple times, the pool was massive and never felt crowded, the beach access was just a short drive from the property and absolutely breathtaking. The golf cart was my husbands favorite part. My sister and her boys enjoyed the provided bikes. My kids were super thrilled for the provided pool accessories. Every question we had was answered promptly by the homeowners and the neighbors were so friendly (they even answered any questions we had too). Any issues mentioned in previous reviews had been attended to. We all were able to wash clothes and return home ready to tackle the week ahead with clean laundry. Our crew will definitely be back and we can’t wait! Thank you for providing just a pleasant destination for my family. PS: All bedrooms are upstairs but they are the most comfy beds ever. Worth every stair climb.

Needs a washing machine and curtains!!

We tried to wash towels after our first day on the beach only to find the washer wouldn’t complete a full cycle. We were left to wring out still sandy wet towels and hang them to dry. When I contacted the property owner, I found out they knew the washer was broken prior to our trip; however, this wasn’t communicated to me, so I didn’t pack accordingly. Not only did we not have enough beach towels/clothes due to this, they didn’t leave extra towels in the unit! We had to use the same towel basically every day of our stay. This unit also desperately needs curtains or hard blinds in the bedrooms. They were as bright as day with the paper blinds currently in place. I just expected more from a unit in this location. It was beautiful but these things definitely made the trip less enjoyable.

Community yes, host NO

The house & community was beautiful. Perfect area. HOWEVER, communication with the host was terrible. Our floors were extremely dirty. There was dog food all over the floor downstairs. Both bathrooms upstairs were covered in long black hair. The golf cart needs some work. The mirrors were broke, cupholders kept falling out. The dishwasher smelled like rotten milk and the laundry washing machine didn’t drain the water out. Communication with the host was terrible. I highly Recommend this community but not this host.

Wasn't what I thought it would be

This property was fine if it had only been my husband and I with our three kids, but my parents also stayed here and what I thought was a bedroom downstairs turned out to be upstairs, so that didn't work well. I also thought by viewing pictures that the it was a stand alone house with balconies, but it is not. Golf cart was nice and was used a lot. We made the best of the trip.
