Cool Change offers an abundance of space in this Sunset Beach vacation home on the East End. Multiple large decks with stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and Bayside leave you wanting for nothing on your St. George Island getaway. Whether splashing in the surf and catching the sun or enjoying exclusive community amenities including the swimming pool and tennis court, there is plenty to do at Cool Change.

The exterior of this home offers covered concrete parking under the house. A covered entry and convenient elevator make stocking the home a breeze. On the ground level you will find an enclosed outdoor shower, a fish cleaning station, and park style grill to prepare your fresh catch. There is also an outdoor space with a large TV, bar seating, and a fridge. This space is the perfect place to cool off and take a break after hours of fun on the beach. Head straight to the shimmering shore on the sandy path in front of the house or use the community boardwalk just two houses to the East.

The second floor is the gathering place in this wonderful West Indies appointed home. With an open and airy common area, there’s plenty of space for everyone. The living room offers a TV and gas fireplace to enjoy in the winter. The partially covered deck offers an abundance of seating to enjoy the incredible coastal breezes.The kitchen boasts granite counters and seating for four at the counter. Two ovens and two dishwashers make planning large meals a snap. A large dining table which seats eight is perfect for meals, games and puzzles with family and friends. An additional breakfast table for four is a great location for a quick breakfast or lunch.

The third floor provides a second family room with a large TV, a wet bar with seating for four, a mini fridge and microwave for those late night snacks. Another balcony exits from the living space for even more picturesque views of the Gulf.

The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Mom and son spring break trip
Renting the property was very easy. The price per night is very misleading as it almost doubled with the fees but we decided to continue anyway since it looked like such a beautiful home. The location was perfect and the view was worth every penny! The rental company is terrible to communicate with and never again will I rent from this company. The directions they gave to enter the home were not correct and must of been for another home as we did not have the pin to enter. I spent all evening on the phone with multiple people who were not from the area and had no clue about the home much less the pin. Fortunately the boys found an unlocked sliding glass door so we were able to get in otherwise by the time someone local arrived it was not until the following afternoon. He was awesome in getting us the pin and fixing the broken elevator. He also gave us the pin to the mancave on the lower level that we were told we could not access when on the phone. The tv still does not work out there so the area was useless. The house needs updates as the sound system or the fireplace (gas) did not work and could use some paint touch ups and tile repairs due to multiple cracks. They did not leave any blankets or sheets for any of the pull out beds only the beds in rooms had them. We found matress covers and used those for blankets. The icemaker did not work so we bought our own ice. We didn’t notice everything else until after the maintenance man left otherwise we would of asked him to assist and we were not going to call the rental company again as it literally ruined the evening prior. They left absolutely no instructions to work anything in the home so we had to figure everything out on our own. This was a first as I always use vrbo homes everywhere I go and the owners always have a book with some sort of instructions. The main living room had an entertainment center that they must of replaced a previous tv as there were a ton of wires just sitting out in the open and could not figure out what they went to much less was an eyesore! There is much more I could say but then it will appear I am knit picking in which I kind of am. I understand things break and such but dealing with this company was terrible! I would rather rent from a homeowner who knows about the home and easily able to reach. I was on the St. George Island Facebook page and many others stated the same thing about this company especially giving wrong pins to enter and unable to reach them!

Cool Change… Cool Place
The house is great. We have stayed here two years. The layout is perfect for us with extra living space on floors 3 and 4. Being on the beach is perfect Sunset Beach area is a great location close to the State Park and we enjoyed the tennis courts. This year all the mattresses had been replaced as had the couches and stuffed chairs. Those were big improvements over last year. However, last year the carpeting was in such pitiful condition, we asked that it be professionally cleaned. And it was. This year all the carpets were the same, stains and all. Still pitiful. The house could use some refreshing. Since Vacasa took over last year, the monthly rate has tripled. It’s over priced. We’d come back with a more competitive price and new carpets.

We loved the location, the beach was secluded. The home is beautiful and right on the beach. The bedrooms were comfortable and well laid out. The master bed on the main floor is not comfortable and could use replacing. The air in one of the rooms on the second floor did not work and that room stayed hot. We also had issues with tv and cable in one bedroom. The tv screen underneath the house had been busted and we had been looking forward to watching football games on the beach. bummer

House is large and kitchen is well stocked. However there is no way to conveniently get in touch with property manager. The outside TV did not work which was a reason we rented the house. parking is limited to 4 vehicles
