We arrived at approximately 415pm. When we arrived at the property we noticed there was not a driveway. There was only a gravel parking area with room for 4 to 5 vehicles. We went to the front door and the code that we were given was not working. There was a key box beside the front door that also would not open. We finally were able to get both the front door and the key box open. Even though we were told there would be a key in the key box there was not. As we looked around the property we were disappointed to find dirt everywhere like there hadn't been cleaners to the house in werks. I immediately contacted the property management company. I explained what was going on and they told me cleaners were on the way. We waited for them to get there. While waiting we looked around some more. The outdoor shower was a complete mess. The shower pan was filthy and there was cleaning supplies in it. Needless to say we were not able to use the outdoor shower. We advised the property management company and they told me maintenance would be out at 830. Maintenance never showed up to the house. I attempted to contact the property management company several times after this and my assumption is they blocked my number because it no longer was answered would only go to voicemail. I called from a different number and they answered. As i complained i told them since i was not getting what i was told we would get, i demanded my money back. There is so much more to say but i am out of space.

We left a day early

First got there, only communication had been through vbro there is no checkin information. Which was stated earlier to be sent at check in time. We sat there for 45 minutes while on the phone with someone that could barely speak English trying to get information to get into the property. Finally got that squared away put our things into the rental and left for dinner, came back to ants all over the master bathroom and bedroom getting into our personal items. We cleaned everything and shook out our things. That evening and night was so cold, the furnace wouldn’t keep the house warm. With not much sleep due to the temperature we decided to pack up and leave that morning, which was a day earlier than we had booked. We emailed the company requesting a refund of one day due to all the issues and us leaving a day early because of them. Here it is 2 days later and no response from company who claimed they needed to speak to the owner of the property. I would definitely not recommend this place. Not to mention the dock looks like it’s about to fall apart, missing boards if you’re thinking about summer time.

Disappointment

Other than the view our stay was absolutely awful. The heater didn't work for the two days we were there and then they added a couple portable heaters to try and make things right which we still froze in freeze warning conditions.My newborn daughter had to be covered in so many layers of clothing and blankets . Overall other than the view our stay here was absolutely horrible.

Love this Lakehouse!! 10/10 we recommend!

This lake house was super spacious, beautiful, relaxing, peaceful, and my husband and kids loved the fishing pier. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool. The vicinity is perfect and location was extremely convenient. We'd definitely visit more often. The host was communicative and pleasant.

Family time

Every year we rent a lake house for our family reunion. From the booking all the way to check out was a very smooth process. They are highly responsive should you need anything. Great spot on the lake. Easy access if you bring a boat. Plenty of space for activities and keep all ages entertained

Good but not Great

To start, the check-in process was a nightmare. I spent a little over an hour trying to get into the property because the access code they provided was incorrect. To have small children waiting outside in the heat was completely unacceptable. Once inside, it looked as if the property was not thoroughly cleaned. Bugs were EVERYWHERE!!! On the counters, in the window sills, in and on the beds (2 beds were not even able to be used). It’s expected for them to be outside because we are on be lake, but this was horrible. Thank goodness we brought our own bath towels, because the ones provided were still dirty with brown stains on them. The upstairs outside patio furniture was an added bonus but all the chairs are broken in addition to the couch. The dock is in desperate need of repairs. There are missing planks. The deck was uneven and to me seemed hazardous. The pool area was nice, but I wish they would have skimmed it before we got there. I spent at least 45 mins skimming just so we could swim. The outside patio was great! They advertise an outdoor shower but this is able to be used. It seemed like they use it for a storage shed and the shower stall was filled with dirt and mud. They have trash cans outside but they weren’t emptied from the previous stay. If you are looking for a relaxing OUTSIDE experience - this is the place. The views are unbeatable. Again, with the proper cleaning and upgrades, this place could easily be a 10/10.

Ok

Waited in the heat for correct key code for almost an hour. Also waited for back bedrooms key code till a maintenance guy came several hours later. AC in main area didn’t work and we were miserable for 24 hrs. The pool was dirty but we waited for maintenance guy to clean it the next day. He also fixed the toilet that didn’t flush in the back bedroom house. Also, SERIOUS issue with nats and bugs in the house. I get it that bugs will fly in BUT I’ve never experienced something this bad. Cleaned up bugs CONSTANTLY. Nats were in our things, counters, ceiling, food etc. Definitely need to have the house exterminated frequently to help alleviate this problem. Broken chairs with nails poking out. Geez… Overall we did our best to enjoy our family time. Grass was high, fire ants were bad. , and fishing pier was missing boards and too dangerous. Owner refunded $100 and delayed check-out 1 hour but we would have payed extra to avoid all of the above.

Know before you book

Property itself is a great concept. There are some issues. I’ll list the pros and cons….. Pro: Plenty of beds Plenty of bathrooms/showers Great pool Well stocked kitchen to prepare meals Superb location on the lake Excellent communication w property manager Cons: I specifically asked prior to booking if the ant problem inside the home had been resolved. I was assured pest control had been handled. Most of our food was ruined due to a serious ant problem in the kitchen. Listing leads one to believe this home exudes modern luxury and comfort. All of the beds appear to be cheap hard mattresses with low quality bedding. The livingroom furniture photographs well bit is not comfortable. There are tons of stains on the furniture, rugs and walls. I question the lofty cleaning fees. This home is not in a pristine condition as the photos lead you to believe. There are serious areas of dust, dirt and debris in windows, the covered patio could us a power wash and all 4 of the large outdoor trash cans were full upon our check in so they attracted flies and smelled pretty bad. The dock is in poor quality with several missing and broken boards. There are numerous nails and screws exposed that are hazardous. All that said we still had a nice time and enjoyed the property. This place has tons of potential I just feel it’s not being properly maintained to a very high standard. The property manager was amazing and very actively communicating with me.

Right on the water with Amazing amenities including a private pool! Sleeps a large group but it was just me and my husband and our two dogs! Very relaxing stay! We will definitely return!

Need a lot of work

My Aunt fell on make shift porch, no hand rails, No Air Conditioner, septic ran on ground, stunk. Had to walk in it get to guest house. This place had a lot of violations, Pier needs work for safety. The dryer was blowing heat in the house/ we were in a stem box VRBO was great 😃 and apologizes were said , I always used them, this surprised me!! I wouldn't represent this house, until it was finished

Bugs

The property was beautiful and it was very relaxing overall. The only problem we had was bugs. They were swarming at the front door, dead at the front door and once inside they were on the ceiling. Consequently, my wife and I spent the first couple of hours cleaning up bugs. I found out that they were coming in from the window unit. I reported it to the owner and i was able to close up the area where they were coming in which made the rest of the stay worthwhile. Like I stated earlier the place was beautiful, relaxing and I would recommend a stay at the property but in my opinion something has to be done about the annoying bugs

Nice Place

The place is beautiful. However, I don't believe it was cleaned beforw we got there. It was infested with flying bugs on the walls on the first day. We had to spray the whole inside of the house. My mom was afraid of the pier because it has no protected railings. She didn't get to fish. The patio furniture was wet and not cleaned so we didn't really set outside. The king bedroom didnt have hot water on the sink side. Shower was good. It's a very nice house but we had to keep cleaning the bugs to keep them from getting in our food and drinks. Tv in the queen bed didn't work but all the others were fine. This place is beautiful despite the flying mosquitoe like bugs. They dont bite, just annoying. Please upgrade the pier to make it safer. Again, beautiful though!

Nice time, but needs a few improvements.

We had a great time. I did find the under the house hang out area a little bit of a mess when we arrived. I feel it could have been a little cleaner. The pier needs some work to be a little safer. I didn’t realize the extra small house did not have a bathroom. So if you stay out there you have to go to main house for the bathroom. The extra house beds did not have top sheets on the bed and the a/c out there needs lots of improvement. Overall our girls trip was fabulous, but a few improvements could have made it better. Getting in touch with the manager was very easy and they always replied quickly.

Poperty was amazing. Our group had a great time. Plenty of room for a large group. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. The only thing that anyone complained about was that it was hot in the house even with the A/C on. Other than that awsome property.
