After booking the property there was a change in ownership that required us to rebook. The process went smoothly and I had no complaints. We didn't receive check in instructions in the time I would normally expect so I sent multiple messages through VRBO that were unanswered. Ultimately I called the cell phone number provided and it turns out that the property contact had changed again and needed to be updated. I was provided another cell phone to use and via text I was finally provided with check in instructions. This process obviously needs to be ironed out as it causes undue stress while traveling to not have this information or confirmation. Once in the cabin, we found that the air conditioning wasn't working. A portable unit had been provided, but it was unusable because the condensation overfilled the small pan after 30-60 minutes. I notified the property manager and despite promises to bring another unit or fans, nothing was ever brought. We bought fans, blinded the widows, and got through it, but it was quite hot from about mid-afternoon till midnight. There was also no system in place to pick up trash, so this needs to be thought through better for renters that stay for more than a few days.
That all being said, the cabin has potential if the organization of the managers improves. It is in a very nice location and it was clean. I would call the stocking of supplies slightly better than average, but not as good as many of the other places I have stayed across the country in this price point. Having access to the lake via a dock as well as having a kayak and paddle board was a very nice touch and much appreciated. There were close restaurants and grocery stores and the ability to access Glacier National Park from the west was very easy.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and if the above concerns were addressed would likely stay here again.
