Home with separate guest cottage located on Lake Smith with easy walk to the dock. Located in a quiet cove off the main body of water. The boat traffic is very minimal, making it a wonderful place to float, kayak and swim. The home sits on a one acre lot with 230ft of waterfront at the end of a dead end road. Surrounded by trees and nature yet it is conveniently located just 5-10 minutes to Brothers Marina/ Restaurant (by car, 10-15 min by boat) and a 15 minute boat ride to Trident Marina and Restaurant. Cullman is just a short 20 minute drive for shopping, restaurants and groceries. Within a 10-15 minute drive is gas, boat launch and dollar general for any last minute needed groceries.
The main home has been recently remodeled with all new paint, flooring, cabinets and countertops. It consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The favorite hang out is the large sunroom full of windows overlooking the lake. It has a dining table, couches and television along with a large swinging bench/bed. The main living room consists of a TV, large sectional couch and air hockey table. This is a great place for the kids to play while the adults enjoy the sunroom. The master bedroom is full of windows overlooking the lake. It has a full master bath and a door that leads to the back deck. The two other bedrooms have a Jack 'n Jill shared bathroom. There is a half bath off the kitchen. A large deck is located off the sunroom where you will find a hot tub and propane grill. The deck leads to a common outdoor area/patio with lots of seating, propane fire table and a wood burning chiminea.
The guest home is only steps away from the main home. It consists of a queen bed and couch that pulls out to a full size bed. It also has an efficiency kitchen with a small refrigerator/microwave/coffee pot/toaster. There is a TV with a dining table that seats two. The full bathroom has a tub/shower combo, toilet and sink.
The walk to the dock which is on a quiet cove is only 20 steps on an easy slope. The depth of the lake at the dock is about 15 ft when the lake is at full pool (510ft). We have three kayaks available for your use. We have cleats/bumpers to tie for your boat to, if you choose to bring one. (The boat lift will be in use and unavailable) There is a separate deck sitting over the lake which is a great place for fishing.
Free fast Wi-fi is available. The outdoor areas are sprayed for mosquitos every two weeks. There is a large, flat, grassy front yard for the kids to play badminton, football or any other yard games you wish to bring.
*In the winter months, due to the fluctuation of water levels at the lake, there may not be enough water at the dock to safely bring a boat. Alabama power company can drop the water levels up to 14 ft in the winter months. It is typically at the lowest November/December/January.*
