Perfect for a group to stay in the area. The house keeper had everything ready for us and was super nice. I would definitely stay there again
Housekeeper was so accommodating she made our stay comfortable every weekend. Great location to hiking and skiing as well as Norman Rockwell museum and Kripalu. The Catholic Church is an easy walk as well as the local pub, cafe and convenience store. My 3 children took full advantage of the playground. House is large enough that we never felt on top of each other. We are a family of five and had another family of 5 visit. Kids all stayed in the largest bedroom while two adult couples had their own bedrooms. Great place to rent! Only minor draw back no fireplace for the cold winter nights.
Thank you for helping to make our stay comfortable, especially for putting up grab bars in the shower for my 97 yo mother. We arrived during a snow and ice storm and Christina was diligent about keep step and parking area clear. House was perfect for us. Great bathtub in upstairs bedroom, and well stocked and supplied kitchen.
We stayed Columbus day weekend at this property (a group of couples and small children) and had a wonderful time. The house is well kept, and very large and gorgeous, loved that everyone had their own bathroom. Chrissy made sure we had everything we needed, left food for breakfast and everything was clean and well kept. We really felt right at home and would definitely stay at the house again if we were in the area. The Berkshires are absolutely beautiful in the fall!
Our multi-generational family of 9 stayed here for a week. Our 3 kids are ages 1-7. Had a great time. The house was a perfect size for us. Thought we might have someone sleeping in the den, but there was enough room in the bedrooms for us. Having this many recently renovated baths and a high end kitchen with a couple of sinks was great. Everything was clean and in good working condition.
The park with a playground, swings, and basketball courts across the street was a huge plus. Backyard and driveway were big enough for kids to have fun there too.
Christina was very helpful and flexible. She and the owner are definitely part of the neighborhood and community, so did really have feel of staying in someone's home.
Neighborhood is small, but had some worthwhile restaurants, and we were in other towns a fair bit. I'm guessing that we went at the least picturesque time of year, trees still bare, but we had great weather and it was nice to drive and walk along the rivers, farms, and small towns. Museums and other touristy sites were open, but not crowded which made taking the kids much easier.
We definitely enjoyed our stay in this home and coming back from our day trips to a normal neighborhood as a way to get to know the area.
Had a family gathering over Christmas weekend, and Christina went above and beyond making us feel welcome, stocking the fridge with breakfast items and even leaving some small gifts under the tree for the kids. The master bath is especially gorgeous. I would note that the house isn't actually in Great Barrington; it's about a 10 minute drive away, so if you want to walk around town, you'll have to drive. Also when we arrived there was an open can of cat food in the living room with pieces scattered across the floor -- easily dealt with, but a little disconcerting with a crawling baby! Otherwise, a great experience.
