Didn't see the bugs upon check in, they appeared through the day in kitchen cabinets, floors and walls throughout. We thought they were mostly in living areas of house and we texted host of bug problem early. We chose NOT to bring our things into the house and kept them outside in our sealed bins for protection. At 8 pm host offered to put us in hotel 30 minutes away but we chose to deal with in the morning because, after 24 hours of travel, we just wanted to take showers and go to bed. At 10:56 pm texted host that these bugs were under the bed covers and mattress (as well as in the dresser drawers!). Couldn't sleep here and going to a friend's house to sleep 10 minutes away. Next day, exterminator came am, hosts were driving down from Miami to handle. Due to the bug treatment we were not able to stay at this house and had to again stay at friend's home. The hosts washed every single thing inside the home. Day 3 we returned expecting bugs to be dead per exterminator. THEY WERE NOT DEAD AND ACTIVELY CRAWLING THROUGHOUT. Exter came a second time, we again thought this was the end of problem. Host did offer a full refund but there were no other rental options so we agreed to see this through. Ext came 3rd and 4th time - after picking up thousands of bugs we left and found a place for 2 months more to save our vacation. Hosts did not refund appropriately for what we endured but were responsive getting exterminator to keep coming. Hosts knew about bugs before we arrived!
