Beautiful New Buffalo 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath vacation home with year-round hot tub and seasonal community pool! 2 floors of four-season porches, grill on upper deck, fire pit in backyard. The house sleeps 9 in beds comfortably. Max occupancy is 12.
The space
2011 constructed 4-bedroom home in the woods of Camp Buffalo Cottages. Designed and built as a rental property with all the amenities for family entertainment or a romantic getaway. You'll enjoy our two floors of fully-furnished, four-season porches that overlook the woods and a landscaped, private ravine. The wooded backyard includes a large firepit for roasting marshmallows or just snuggling with loved ones. The lower deck has a built-in hot tub and the upper deck a gas BBQ for year-round cookouts. The main level boasts dramatic vaulted ceilings in the family room and dining room and is accented with rustic cypress columns and trusses -- think luxury mountain lodge. The stone fireplace in the corner of the family room can also be viewed from the adjoining dining room and gourmet kitchen. The four bedrooms include two beautiful master suites. There are all kinds of entertainment features in this home. A whole-house stereo system will allow you to listen to multiple sources (Cable TV, DVD, iPod or radio) in different rooms at the same time, including the porches and decks. Large flatscreen TVs with Blu-Ray/DVD will be found in the family room, both master suites and the game room. Camp Buffalo is an intimate community of 19 lodge-style homes constructed with logs and stone exteriors that fit well into the secluded woods. You will enjoy a community pool and clubhouse that are shared only by residents and renters. The house is only a short, 15-minute walk to downtown New Buffalo and even less to the Oselka City Park with baseball fields, tennis courts and a large playground for the kids. The public New Buffalo Beach is less than a mile away, and has parking for a small daily fee. Golfing, boating, jet-skiing, the Four Winds Casino, apple picking and a train museum are all a short drive away.

Nice property that needs Maintenace

The home is a nice rental but needs some maintenace. It has a nice screen room on both floors. The space was great for the kids in our group. We experienced several issues with the usefulness of the property. Only 2 burners worked on the stove. The grill needs to have the valves cleaned. It took 30 minutes to get hot dogs barely heated. There was not lock box with the keys. The keys were left in an electrical outlet box. One of the bathrooms had a leaky faucet and a toilet that took 8 minutes to refill. There were air mattresses (the property reports it sleeps 12) but no blower to blow up the mattresses. New Buffalo is a cute town with a very nice beach and a nice place to visit with family. The home has access to a pool that is very nice. We had a nice stay but the property needs some maintenance.

Great house in a great location

Overall, this is a great house, conveniently located in New Buffalo a short drive from the beach and shops. Pros - Ample space to spread out in the home (and upstairs and downstairs living area, two large screened in porches), a nice neighborhood pool and clubhouse just a short walk away, and the house seemed recently renovated/updated. Cons - One of the toilets and one sink were not functioning the entire stay (I reached out to the host who did not respond), the home was missing some basic functional items for a home that is meant to accommodate 11 people for a multiple night stay (only 10 forks/spoons total, no laundry basket, only detergent for two loads). These things are easily fixable and would make the home more amenable for a weeklong stay. Ultimately, we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this home.

Nice family trip

Great location, great amenities. We had a good time staying at the house for an extended family get-together. Lots to do within half an hour away, but also a good house to hang out in.
