This charming two-story four bedroom, three-full-bath beach house offers over 2,500 square feet of living space, three porches and a convenient one-car garage.

Downstairs you’ll find a spacious living room, dining room and fully appointed kitchen with breakfast counter, refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, dishwasher and laundry area with full-size washer and dryer. Just off the living and dining room is a large screened back porch with plenty of outdoor seating and a dining area.

In addition to the main living areas downstairs, there are two bedrooms. The master suite with comfortable seating area and a generous master bath with a large garden tub, a separate glass-enclosed shower, a double vanity and a separate commode room. The comfortable downstairs guest bedroom is just off the foyer and adjacent to a separate full bathroom.

Upstairs you’ll discover two guest bedrooms, a full bath and an ample living area. Other features include 24-foot ceilings in the living and dining rooms, 10-foot ceilings in all other downstairs living areas, ceiling fans, central heating and air conditioning.

Nice house, but dirty

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I never got the code to get into the rental like I was supposed to, no one from property management called me back during my entire stay about it, very unprofessional. My husband finally tracked down a housekeeper so we could get in. We waited over 30 minutes in the office parking lot waiting to access our house. The house was dirty, and not all of the TVs worked. My first stay at Martinique was wonderful this one not so much. To make it worse the ocean water was disgusting so we barely even went to the ocean. I probably won't be back.

Pleasant stay with unnecessary aggravation

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a really good house- definitely walkable to the pools and beach, but extra nice that there’s a golf cart. HOWEVER, this house sleeps 12 and the driveway is short so both our cars didn’t fit in so even though we paid $40 for the second parking pass, we had to park one car in the overflow lot. We came with 3 cars so we also had to pay $50 to park the 3rd car at this boat storage off property. Then literally within 5 min of us shutting our doors after unloading our stuff, security was at our door telling us we had a complaint filed for having 3 cars on property. (We were inside putting away groceries 🙄). Then, overnight we got a ticket on one of our cars because it was parked on the sand. So I’m 1 day, we had 2 run ins with security. Then the next day we had security at our door AGAIN because we had a complaint filed for parking our golf cart on the sand. When my husband told the officer he was making us so miserable we didn’t want to come back, his response was “I don’t care if you come back. I get paid either way.” Rude and inappropriate. There are too many people who live there full time who are bitter that there are so many tourists. It’s absurd how rudely we were treated. And I’m sure the owner of the house would be pretty upset their renters (who are paying their bills) are discouraged from returning. We will be finding a new vacation spot after 20 years of coming here.

Love staying at the Martinique, won’t stay at this house again

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As the title says, we love staying at the Martinique, it’s one of our favorite spots!!The house has two double beds, not two queens. We slept awful all week with adults being in doubles (we would not have booked this house had that been stated). AC was out downstairs, it was ‘fixed’ day 4, but the front room was HOT in that room all week. The house wasn’t cleaned well, the outside patio not at all. They did come clean when we got there. They did send someone to clean the outside, which we appreciated!Grill had a birds nest in it, so we couldn’t use it.Not enough parking in a small driveway for two cars, and no close parking, and no cars allowed on the street nearby.We received a 10% discount, which definitely wasn’t sufficient for us for the lack of sleep, heat, parking situation, and condition of the house.All in all- if the AC is properly fixed, house is cleaned better, and the listing is corrected to reflect the beds and parking situation- book it, because the area is wonderful 🤪.

Delightful

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Home was ok! Expected a more beachful theme since the name is You are my Sunshine. We vacation at Martinique every year and out of all of them, this was the worst. First day we were attacked by millions of mosquitoes. My Grandbabies became ill from the numerous stings. I guess bad time of the year????The home was overtaken by mosquitoes. I called the front desk and was advised to go to Dollar General to get some Off. Spend five thousand dollars and one would think Martinique could furnish spray. I ask if they could get the spray truck to come. After three days it got better but letter some scars on everyone. Sea weed was horrible on beach and was never cleaned up just had to sit around it. The beach at Gulf Shores was cleaned????? Then came the sharks at the beach. Last three days we saw numerous sharks swimming close to shore. Definitely not the best vacation ever. Then we were offered a discount of fifty dollars off our next stay. After what we went through was a blow to say the least.

Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented at Martinique on four occasions in the past and have always been very satisfied with no complaints whatsoever. That is is not the case this year. First of all, I did not fill out the preregistration because I am not computer savvy. I called in advance and if I could fill out all the information when we arrived and was told that would not be a problem. We arrived a few minutes before 5 o’clock and the office was closed, but the guard got us in with no problem. Not a big deal, but I was surprised we could not check in until 5 pm and the office was closed.Because we had 12 people , we rented a place that could accommodate that many. The house was beautiful and slept 6 adults and 6 young people comfortably.Now for the negative. When you have this many people renting there should be an allowance for more than 2 cars. We had 2 that had to be parked off the premises and it was an additional expense and a hassle to park next to Dollar General. (This was not peak season)When we arrived the dishwasher was crammed full of dishes. It took me a while to figure out where to put everything.We tried to grill out one night and a rat had build a net and ran out when the lid was opened. Needless to say, we did not use the grill! Mosquitoes were terrible in the house and my granddaughter is highly allergic. I realize the house is next to refuge but the house should be sprayed by management after every rental. Literally, hundreds flew out closet upstairs.Lastly, we did not find the office staff very friendly or willing to accommodate, as in the past. Maybe in their defense, they said they were new.I am writing this review to give and honest review. We love Martinique but this year’s experience was not as good as in the past.
