Noisy, small, inaccurate, micromanaging management

1st the VRBO listing had parking as an amenity but after booking I was told there was only street parking which is not easy. I agree with the one-star review from 7/26 (which wasn’t posted when I booked or I would have steered clear) After booking Peacock management bombarded my email and requested additional details, uploading drivers license, they wanted pictures of the keys put back in the box or additional fees would be applied. They would not supply details of check in such as codes until just before check in, which when you are traveling and don’t always have WiFi can make things difficult. The apartment was small, remodeled well but not clean: hair in shower drain, pet hair embedded in living room rug, dust on baseboards. When we mentioned this to management they were willing to send someone to clean but frankly it was too late, we didn’t want to have to repack our things to have someone clean. We were given check out instructions to run the dishwasher or we would get a fine when there is no dishwasher, so do your dishes by hand. The street noise is frequent and blinds must be down for any privacy. They should consider the blinds that lower from the top down. And don’t mind hearing the neighbors through the wall at 1:30am on a Thursday night. All in all, the location is good, just expect small, noisy, micromanagement for Peacock, with a need for better cleaning.

Looks great on paper...DIRTY AND LOUD

This place looks amazing on paper and has nice upgrades. However...I will skip ahead and note the worst: By far the worst part (and the thing that made me check out 2 full days ahead of schedule and go somewhere else despite having already paid for this unit) was a horrible fruit fly infestation. They would attack your face and ears in your sleep and were absolutely everywhere. It was disgusting. The check in/out process was difficult for me because there were SO. MANY. EMAILS. AND. TEXTS. It was hard to keep track of which ones were actual info I needed and which were simply duplicate emails that were useless. I had trouble getting in due to lock code confusion and when I called the emergency number the woman who answered didn't identify herself and sounded very surprised at receiving a call at all, and then she didn't even have anyone call me to help me, I had to call another number to get help. The actual place was dirty in the main area (animal hair on the couch, dust and dirt on the floor and a filthy carpet). They don't provide you with a new sponge or any dish soap, except dishwasher pods and there wasn't even a dishwasher in the unit... It was extremely loud (people walking on the street sounded like they were next to you, the walls are so thin you hear the couple next door's entire conversation at normal speaking volume, and police cars were driving by with sirens on constantly). DO NOT recommend.
