Big Problems
Initially upon arrival this cabin was amazing. The views are jaw dropping, the cabin is big spacious and inviting, the rooms are as described. It didn’t take long for us to realize this cabin has BIG PROBLEMS. After long travel times, several out guests wanted to shower. We then discovered a leak into the movie room which is on the bottom floor, and 2 leaks above the dining table on the main floor. After reading previous reviews we noted this isn’t the first time this is happening. We contacted Gatlinburg Falls and they noted the issue, had two Maintinence guys out who “couldn’t identify the source of the leak”. Well I can tell you this isn’t the first they have heard of the problem. They don’t own the cabin and all they can do is relay the issue. The owners have not addressed the issue. 4+ showers leak. The area where the water is leaking through the wood in the dining area, mold can be seen growing through the cracks. The cabin is rented for the next several months, so clearly the owners have no plan to open the ceilings and find the issue. Besides the leaks and mold, the house isn’t properly stocked. There are NO dish towels and NOT ONE baking sheet. It made it very hard coming into town from another state. Make sure you bring ALL your own necessities. The Wi-Fi is awful so don’t count on being able to work or have kids to homework. We contacted them about all these issues and not one was able to be totally resolved. As stated the cabin is surface beautiful and the views are stunning. But this cabin definitely has some deep issues. I expects way more paying over 10k for 6 nights.
