Welcome to the Ruby Manor - a cozy private upstairs apartment within our historic farmhouse!

The Ruby Manor is a completely furnished two-bedroom, one-bathroom upstairs apartment with a private entrance.

The space
The Ruby Manor apartment is over 1300 square feet and boasts a full sized kitchen making meal prep for your group a breeze, multiple living spaces, and a large dining area that seats 8 people. Alternatively, we are also a short walk or drive to downtown and many restaurants and shops. We love the Rapid City downtown area and would be happy to provide any recommendations!

The views from the upstairs windows are incredible and will give you 360 degree view of the West Boulevard Neighborhood and the Skyline wilderness to the west.

You'll find the home fully equipped with all bedding, kitchenware, linens, paper goods, and toiletries. We have free laundry located within the apartment and detergent is provided. As a bonus, you will find movies, board games, and wifi to offset any rainy days during your stay.

A little history of our place: Our house was built in 1892 and was constructed using three different homesteads. We are working to restore it to its former glory. It has many charming characteristics including a wrap around porch, interesting architecture inside, and our barn around back used to be a livery stable. I've been told our barn is where couples would pay a quarter to ride a horse and buggy up to Skyline Drive. Later, the barn was added onto and was one of Rapid City's first bike shops. Many of my neighbors have told me stories that they remember going to the bike shop when they were kids. Now the shop/barn houses the different carpentry projects we are working on!!

Guest access
Guests have access to everything in the upstairs private apartment. When the weather is nicer, guests are welcome to enjoy the backyard (which is shared by us), sit under the grape arbor, and are welcome to any veggies or herbs growing in the garden.

Note the guest's private entrance has access to two other locked rooms on the first floor. We are still 'working' on these and will be available to guests as a third bedroom and second bathroom in the near future!

Other things to note
A white noise machine and ear plugs have been provided in both of the bedrooms in case the hum of the central heating unit kicking on at night bothers you.

We live in the downstairs apartment and you may hear us occasionally.

There is a smart TV in the living room. We do not have cable service, but feel free to login to any of your personal streaming service accounts but please sign out prior to check-out. We also have a DVD player and a small selection of DVDs.
