Perfect Charlottesville Getaway House

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at The Metta Gem. Heather and her Team were incredible to work with from the time of the booking, to the time leading up to our stay, and with the check-in process/ check-out process - gracious and very communicative hosts that made sure we had every thing we needed. The property itself was fantastic and just as described in the listings. Very clean, organized, pleasant updates, and felt very homey. The location was incredible - short drive into Downtown and walking distance to UVA campus (we walked to the basketball game we were in town for) and a walkable neighborhood for our Golden Retriever. I would absolutely recommend the Metta Gem and will look forward to staying here ourselves again in the future!

Cute property - neighborhood sketchy

As we drove down the street toward the property, many of the houses were run down looking. And when we pulled up to the property, a group of five men were smoking weed in the middle of the day. This wasn’t a college street where students live. The property itself was fine, clearly care was taken when choosing furnishings and renovations. They indicated that there were two parking passes available but a second pass was never there. Also the kitchen lacked a toaster and a can opener which it made it difficult to use. The house was cute but uncomfortable . The small loveseats in the living were barely big enough for one of my sons. Also the lack of fence means I had to walk my dog down the sketchy street. The house itself was fine but I wouldn’t stay here again .

What a Gem!

Group of UVA alums staying overnight after Dave Matthews Band Concert. Perfect location and distance to Central Grounds and Barracks Road—can approach property from multiple points without getting stuck in traffic choke points. Well stocked with dinnerware & silver ware as well as necessary toiletries….even readers—if you forget them at home. Check in & check out instructions were clear and sent in timely manner.

Wonderful Girls Getaway!

Stayed for the weekend for my sister's bachelorette! The house was adorable, clean, conveniently located, and had nice little touches- like toiletries, cleaning products, and coffee.

Cute House in great location

We stayed a long weekend for a wedding in town. Location was great for us as all the venues were in walking distance for us (but this wouldn't necessarily work for everybody as it was a 20 minute or so walk to downtown). The kitchen was nice and well stocked. The neighborhood was very quiet. Plenty of parking in front of the property.
